Profiler just came out with a killer set of 23* heads. They flow 300 cfm out of the box. If you are looking for the best 230 cc head i think pro topline (proaction) makes the best one that i have seen so far. From what i have gathered, and from what friends have discussed with me, the profilers have huge potential straight out of the box to make a car fly.

And they are 210 cc for better velocity.

i piecing together a 434 and planning on using pontiac nascar heads, may be more head than i need though, plans kinda changed and im actually gonna drive the thing. if your going racing these may work for you. flow bench sheet with heads in the 330 range, ported with matching intake and all valvetrain.

if you can afford a bit extra, go with some nice 18* heads by Dart or Brodix. they have great #'s out of the box, and can get big time flow with work, which you can have done at a later date if the funds don't allow now. look down at my sig for the specs of the motor i'm getting. out of the box heads, cam's around 660"/680"(not a full blown race cam), and look at those #'s. i can't wait to drive it for the first time.

another decent head is the bowtie head with the 60/40 split.i think these are almost the same as the ones indyjps has.you can pick these up for usually less than 1 grand .2.1 i 1.625 e valves and flow 320-330 cfm.any of the heads mentioned with 227-230 runners should work well though.

I talked to Craig at GTP about some 220's for my 383 and he said he would order a bare set of 70% castings from AFR and do all the work himself and after he was done they would flow 320-330 & 250-260. But I don't know about the price. Looking at about $3,000!! Of course that is using the best of everything, but still..
