Funny I have built many big blocks as well. Never had a cam issue. Hell the last one I built with a flat tappet I used the 89 dollar summit cam set.

Holy old post Batman!

Just to update, this engine is alive and well. Not a hickup out of it. It turn's those 49" Iroks and 20" rims pretty well.
