Oh, I have utter confidence in that car, no matter what people think it will run.

 

The driver was 140lbs (it was my brother). The car does 11.6 with the described mods at full weight, and it was not a perfect pass.. it definitely had more in it. Nor did it even have an ls6 intake, just an ls1

While I am not a Thacker *** kisser, I think the truth should be known. The car did do 11.6 easily, as it should. It is not uncommon for a full weight ls1 to run that time, and to be honest mine did 11.83 @ 115.3 only 2 tenths slower with an ugly misfire... Which later was found to be a coil pack wire pinched in the valve-cover causing nearly half the motor to intermittently have problems firing.

In any event, the car was like 3500-3600lb race weight then.. I do believe it's about 400-500lbs lighter now tho.

Ya and he was talking about running a bike with his camaro .. Ill run it on my stock sport touring bike ..

 

stock touring bike... i now know what his camaro has, and its not as much as people in here were making it out to be.... but it would outrun that.... ive outran my share of bikes.. and hes about right there with me..

 

Ill make a trip up there to ya if you'd like. I wouldn't look down on a sport touring bike . I outran a ZX14 on my last trip out.

we dont race bikes for money.. just for ***** and giggles/bragging rights.. but we are here..

lol ya I bet you weren't expecting a time like that were ya . Thats also hitting the rev limiter and a loose exup valve. I know excuses but i'll be out again soon.

Ya I just checked it. Right at a 200 mile ride .. Ya not bad for a stocker, but if your car runs those kinda times then thats one helluva car you got built then. Usually it takes a 408 and some spray to get down to low 10s on some cars. Although some get that setup that just works and runs like a raped ape. Which is what im hoping happens with my car .

 

yea, it is right at 2 hours to jasper.. and your like 30 mins from jasper i believe...

those are some good times for that bike, must be a good rider..

n/a im right at a flat 11.. thomas the guy you would have raced is at about a 11.2 or 11.3.. not sure what either one of run the 1/8 in on spray.. whats your bike run in the 1/8?

 

6.75 @ 110 in the 1/8. Been racing since I was 12 .

 

yea, itd be a hell of a race! n/a you get me by a little bit.. but youd be pulling pretty good... thomas, you and him should be about dead even with him on spray, by the 1/4 youd be pull a little..

id say youd get me by about 1 in the 1/8 n/a.. and thomas and you would be nose and nose with him on spray..

Yep bikes aren't much out of the hole its all on the top side. 60' was a 1.707 if it was a 1.5 it would be a totally different story. I may mess with the sprockets a lil bit and see if I cant get it geared perfectly for the 1/4.

Next trip out im hoping for a 10.15 @ 135 and a 6.50 @ 112 . Ill remove some weight from the bike to just to help out a lil.

I would guess a sprayed H/C car is what prob 6.5s @ 103ish?

 

depends on how good the H/C setup is.... thomas' on spray would go probably about a 6.6-6.7ish @ about 105 or so.. he went 6.8@102 in almost 90 degree weather... that was running a 7.75 on motor, past sunday he went 7.45@93.5 on motor, but didnt spray it.. once i get my rear and tranny i hope to hit about a 6.3 on spray.. im expecting 6.9s on motor in about two weeks when my car is ready.. im not spraying mine until i at least get a rear under her.. i doubt she will like 1.3 and 1.4 60 foots..
