Centerville or Prescott. Both are 1000ft. To get to the 1/4 your gonna have to go to Tulsa, unless something is closer that I dont know about. I think MMP, and Red River Raceway (or Thunder Dragway or whatever it was) is closed now.

Zak you must not care anything about human life. Look at all those kids around you..........

Merv i was just tryin to help about the gears from personal exp the 4.30's are about the best for a small tire car. trial and error though you will probably be slippin the clutch to get it to come out of the hole smooth. also what do you turn your motor to? i am only at 6400 or so crossing the line at cville and have to 7500 to get to the end at the 1/4 mile...

I shift at 6500..I mentioned that into my post when we were talking about it.

I need a 28" tire to run a 4.10 Gear. I've actually thought about switching up the H/C/I setup I have so I can get more RPM's out of it.. the L92/LS3 stuff has great power..but it doesn't pull into the higher RPM's.

lol i still have the stock ls1 intake/throttle body it might not make the power at 7500 but its better than bangin the red line at 6500...
edit: i ask what you spun your motor too i.e. redline not what you shifted at

I spin it to what I shift it at..6500. It makes peak at 6300..past 6500 it drops like a rock. No need to shift when it's not making power. The Rev limiter is 7k..I have no doubt the bottom end will handle that so I'm looking for something that will make some good power in that area. It does have the potential for more power, just not with the current H/C/I setup.

I could to Victor Jr. and a 4-barrel Throttle Body or an Elbow and my 90mm Holley, keep it EFI and all that stuff..it would run good, them L92 Heads properly opened up perform extremely well. But I would have to change out the Cam to take advantage of that Intake. That and these cars have no room for something like that..I'll be cutting into the Cowl.

Hey guys, can anybody drop in on tonights Hooters meet? My brother took my car hostage, he lives in Conway, and wanted to check out the some of the local rides. The car is a 2002 trans Am with a TSP 408, fast intake, PRC stage 2.5 LS6 heads and TSP Texas Giant cam. And of course the always envious side exit exhaust, the tips alone gave me an extra 50 H.P.

Nope...mine's "on point" as well. I'm quite happy with how it runs. Pretty sure you're the only one that ever had everything "*** backwards". Glad to see you got it fixed though....why drop for a Z06 now?

I beg to differ with the "Torque Cam" and that large stall..but that's just my opinion..if it makes you happy then that's all that matters.

I was toying with the Vette idea..prob won't do it and just hang on to the $$$ that I'm going to be coming back with here in a few months. Invest it or some ****..

I've tried 5 converters ranging from 3500 to 5000 and the 4400 is hands down the winner. I'm currently running a Circle D 230mm 5000 stall that almost equals the Yank 4400, but not quite. It has a 2.7 STR and sixty-footed the same as the 4400 with a 2.5 STR (1.57). This is all with a race weight approaching 3700#'s and 3.23's. Yank says you want an 800 RPM shift extension which is exaclty what the 4400 yields. Anything less than that, and the car feels like it falls on its face. I tried a Circle D 4500 that dropped to ~5200 between shifts and it was horrible. I lost .1 and 2 MPH at the track. The SS4000 had the same shift extension as the 4500 and in fact was almost identical in every way performance-wise.

So regardless of what "should" work, real testing has shown that the larger converter (but not too large) works best with this cam. I'll be swapping in a custom cam with Trick Flow 220cc heads this summer anyway, so at that point it won't matter. Combined with a 9" and 3.90's, I'll be anxious to see what I gain.

Yea come on, I would say about 7:15-7:30 would be a good time. I am sure that there will be a ton of LS1tech people anyways, so its not like a bonafide ARRides meet anyways.

Sounds like a plan..when you get a Cam spec'd to the setup and tuned properly it'll run great.

I have a set or 3.89's that I'm going to put in when I get back..I've had them for a while. I was goin to build an extra 3rd Member spooled, I have a complete one on the side to build for race..but I decided to put them in the street rear and drive them on the street.

Lol @ the ricer flyby..
Paul, I didn't run you on Vandenburg that time cause there was about 10 cars roughly 150ft infront of us. Why don't you mention that it was lunch time traffic..and you were driving like the ricer..

Besides, about the only thing you are going to do it run your mouth here..we've both seen it and read it all in the past. That and we both know the outcome if you lined your car against mine. Your's still needs the Driver Mod, and an Engine with the correct combination of parts..not just some **** thrown together cause it "sounded good". Hell if I wanted to pay $7k+ to get screwed over that bad I would atleast got some Hookers..then you actually would've been "fucked".

Actually, mine is onpoint.. I have a brand new build in it..shortblock was assembled professionally. It's got a little over 4k miles on it and is, for lack of better words, running pretty perfect.
I have some touching up to do to the Tune that Ryan gave me cause he missed some things..but that's just how it goes sometimes. I was trying to get ahold of him to touch it up, but I guess when you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

As far as you go Ben..I honestly find it amusing that you want to throw a little crap out here about my car..as you have yet to figure out things about your car that you honestly have *** backwards.

But that's just my opinion..I guess it's the Fumes coming from my "Rich" Exhaust messin with my head..
Sorry been out of it for s a bit I see we are back to The Merv and EVERYONE argueing and bickering..haha you boys and your toys everyone thinks they have their **** built right...guess we are all partial
