Well..... Given this post not sure if I should be worried…. Some A-Hole broke into my house yesterday and the only thing they stole was the key’s to my T/A and motorcycle??? The car was unlocked in my fenced in yard and they did not take anything from it?

This was GM's response.
Thank you for contacting the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center. We appreciate you taking the time to write us about obtaining extra keys for your 2000 Chevrolet Camaro. Sorry to hear that dude, mine was stolen in Montgomery Alabama at 3:12 AM. It was then spotted in New Orleans a couple days later, so obviously they have people all over the south lurking, looking for cars so be careful out there guys, you car may be next...

What a shitty situation. This is such a huge problem, and the authorities don't seem to give a damn. Keep your car locked, inside a locked garage, and they still get to it. Makes me want to keep a chain around the axle if it spreads up here. Just can't have anything nice nowadays.

has anyone contacted GM and had them investigate which dealership in that area has been ordering the most blank keys with the correct resistor chips for the fbody cars? there has to be a record. the only way they would have around it would be to buy blank keys from walmart and have their buddy gut them at the dealership, but either way someone is going through quite a few keys somewhere.... there has to be a way to track such things

I just did a little research, if it is in fact a organized crime ring/auto theft ring, the FBI WILL get involved.
