Yeah, evidently with the VIN showing and the factory alarm, they are pretty easy to take. When mine was stolen, there was no glass on the ground. They must have gotten a key made and then just drove out the garage.![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)

has anyone contacted GM and had them investigate which dealership in that area has been ordering the most blank keys with the correct resistor chips for the fbody cars? there has to be a record. the only way they would have around it would be to buy blank keys from walmart and have their buddy gut them at the dealership, but either way someone is going through quite a few keys somewhere.... there has to be a way to track such things

This theft ring is still in business in LA!?
Has someone gotten the police or fbi involved in this on more than an individual case basis?
This behavior is obviously the result of a multi-year effort by an extremely hard core group of criminals. Seems like there should be an effort going on to accumulate the evidence of all these thefts.

If these guys are having keys cut via VIN #'s, there's really nothing anybody can do except cover your VINs and lock your cars. I'm sure somebody @ GM is in their pocket not to saying anything when the keys are getting cut, and I wouldn't be surprised if a dozen or more LA police offices are paid off as well.
It's a shame. Thanks to these ********, insurance for F-bodies will never be cheap because they're so likely to be wrecked or stolen.

Already looking! I know it prob. won't be found and if it is it will be totaled. Thease cars are worth more in parts. I don't think they were woried about getting a key. No one heard it crank up. they prob. pushed it down the street and loaded it onto a flatbed.I'll tell you one thing they have ***** my house is the last on a dead end street if they would have got caught they had nowhere to go. The car was taken between 2am and 5am.
