Don't listen to john. His car runs likes an old jalopy. Plus Scott comes around this area some. I'm sure he'd be happy to do a dyno day when Shannon gets his dyno up and going.

so he is putting in a dyno? I had heard he was a few months ago, but heard nothing else of it... what are the local dynos besides Trackmasters in Huntsville, Henson in Huntsville, and Walker in Trussville?

I'm just waiting on the software from DynoJet. They didn't have a problem taking my money, but getting them to hold up their end of the deal is another thing.

As for Lane.....umm, that subject could go on for days. He seems to know what he's doing, yet we had him tune a car a couple months ago and it slowed it down 3 tenths.

Leaner is meaner...... Car plot had to much air with the heads and cam and needed some more fuel to keep from having holes in the pistons lol.

Stock pistons that lasted 20 passes before his tune were probably safe...lol And actually he leaned it out and took some timing out of it. We put it back in and it picked back up again. So there....

if you guys ever want a part to go on backorder... just let me order it

1st my whole ordeal with Texas Speed and now this

headers won't ship out until May 18th, on backorder... Jegs, Marylandspeed, everyone who sells Doug Thorley headers is on backorder

did get my Doug Thorley catback and header gaskets in, lol.. the crazy thing is, Jegs had these headers on sale last Tuesday and they had "ships today" in the detail... got on the next morning(Wednesday morning), not only were they off sale, but they then had an estimated shipping date of May 16th(has now been bumped to the 18th)... I then turned to Maryland speed who was cheaper than Jegs normal price(but higher than what Jegs had them on sale for) and now i've ran into the roadblock with Maryland speed as well... that is the type of luck I have

..already bought them, and I like the Tri-Y design of the Doug Thorleys, completely eliminates the mid pipes and connects to the catback, no cutting/welding of the midpipe for fitment, less restriction as well

plus they are the cheapest American made header, I could get some chinese ****, but screw that... Kooks are like $1400........for a SMALLER header(1 3/4" compared to 1 7/8").. the 1 7/8" are $1600... and for the price of a set of American Racing headers and a catback? i'd have a LS3 topend swap and cam in this bitch instead, lol

Jegs kind of screwed up the supply/demand by putting them on sale... people like me were running to buy them on sale(well, I tried) and they sold a **** load of them in the past 2 weeks, caught them off guard and they are now having to catch up on orders/supply everyone else

once again, if it were mass produced Chinese crap... wouldn't be an issue

i'm a Union guy, I make it here, so I try my damnest to spend it here

that is why I boycotted Texas Speed, they used to have American made headers and went the way of the slant eyes

I just bought a Z28 and I'm wanting to change up some stuff.

First it has a set of 17x9.5 American Racing TT2's. The tires are fairly new so I wanna keep them. I'm gonna get em polished up next week. Asking $600 OBO or trade for chrome ZR1's + a little cash.

K&N FIPK intake. Pretty neat looking piece but I'd rather have a lid. I would need a aftermarket lid and the bottom piece it sits on. Would like to get a nice lid plus some cash cause the K&N's are expensive. Would sell for $200

Projector Headlights - there the better looking ones would trade for stock. Might throw in some cash.

The car also has an aftermarket SS hood. The paint has cracked in a few places, but the hood is structually sound. I would sell it for $300 or trade for something different. If you had a nice black slick hood I would be interested.
