we went and looked at the house being 85% done, then submitted the offer. then the anxiety hit..... :/

Congrats!
If you wind up closing on the house before it's complete I would make sure to go back behind the contractor doing the work and make sure they're cleaning up as they should. You'd be amazed how much junk gets swept under the rug (no pun intended) with lazy laborers that don't want to clean up after themselves.

Congrats! Just moved into my in May. Was nervous as hell, but now I sit in the back yard after work and enjoy a cold one with a huge cheesy grin as I look at my kid play in the yard and it's mine!! Love the weekend yard work and putting time and effort into something I own(well, me and the bank) Enjoy!!!!!!!
