Default Chassis Shop in Arkansas?

Has anybody had a cage put in by a chassis shop in arkansas?

I have not heard of any but I thought there may be one out there.

Also, I have not seen any fourth gens at Prescott Raceway with cages.

They're not too strict with cage requirements at the tracks down there unless you're running pretty damn fast.

What are you running in the quarter (or 1000 ft)? You're probably just better off getting a Wolfe 6 pt bolt in and putting it in yourself. Don't need anything more till you're breaking into the 9's in the quarter.

I have yet to get the car out this year. I looked into the bolt in, but is the strength of the bolt in vs weld in significant? Will be years before the car runs 7s in the 1000ft. I just don't want to hurt any parts leaving the line with a stick car. Will a bolt in cage be sufficient my car, 9", slicks with hard launches from a t56?

Go get yourself 3 pt weld in subframe connectors and that will really stiffen up your car.

Honestly, the tracks down there are very lenient. I wouldn't worry too much till they ask you to come back with a cage. Where are you located and where do you plan on taking it?

I'm not completely sold on subframe connectors. I have noticed Prescott is very lenient with enforcing safety requirements during TNT.

Why aren't you sold on sub-frame connectors. One of the best things I did for my car. Stiffened up the chassis and helped with twisting on the launches. Plus, keep the dimples from appearing in the rear quarter panel like a lot of 4th gen's get after a while. A cage helps but sub-frames are much better.

I have just seen threads where people bash them and comment that they just add weight. I have not read enough to actually have an opinion on sub frame connectors. It seems as though you think they are significant in the structural integrity of the car. I will research them a bit in the near future. How much less support to bolt in cages offer versus weld in cages?

Thanks,

Parker

I would venture to say that if people are saying subframe connectors aren't worth it, they're not making the power to see the difference. They're not that damn heavy.

That being said, where in AR are you? Shahan Race Cars in Cabot does nice work. I don't have a cage. Like what's been said, the tracks in the area are pretty lenient. Even Memphis is.
