Default need a tuner in upstate SC

I should have my heads, cam, intake, headers, true duals, ud balancer, and stall in my car in the next two weeks. when I have it complete I'll need a tuner, I'd like to find one in the upstate to tune and delete the air, egr, and rear o2's. The closest place is hawks third gen in easley. Have any of y'all got a car tuned by them? I know some people aren't big fans of theirs for other reasons, but how are they at tuning an ls1? thanks

You have to take into consideration the reason people hate them. Their questionable moral integrity. Do you think it would be limited to their business conduct in every form except dyno tuning?

We can't tell you what is near you when you don't post your location.

Sorry, upstate SC doesn't mean much.

Spartan Motorsports is 135 miles away, 2 hours.

Bolt-on's only isn't anything to crazy, Ed Hutching @ Hi-tech tuning could do you something mail order and take care of all those codes as well.

it has stage 2.5 5.3 heads and v2 cam. I probably need a mail order tune first to run it to seat rings. I put forged rods and mahle pistons in it, and all new bearings. what city is Spartan motorsports in?

I just realized that I was really off in my thinking of where Spartanburg is, I thought it was close to the coast. It's not far from where I live, take it to JHR Racing (formerly Heintz Racing, same staff different owner).

Or

PCMofNC that's who tuned my car.

They are both in Mooresville, NC according to Google an hour and a half.

I emailed them both but only got a reply from pcm, and they said it would be a month wait before they could do it. I was wanting my car ready by may 31st to drive it to the beach. I may just book an appointment with them when I get back. I wish somebody was close with tuning software and do a good street tune.

Sorry you did not receive a response, what email address did you send it to? I don't recall an email about a tune from upstate SC. Give us a shout at the shop if we can help.

One person doesn't like their experience and complains and everybody else just listens and repeats. Same with every performance shop. I've used them plenty and never had any issues.

They copy other people's designs have them made cheaper overseas, then sell them for the price of the name brand model. They might build perfect cars but I wouldn't trust them with my car or anyone else's. The copying of designs is just the nature of the beast but selling the knock off as a name brand piece is sleazy. If they have that type of business practice, you think they would hesitate to **** you? It has nothing to do with repeating what you've heard it is just being a cautious informed consumer. If you want to take that chance be my guest.

Interesting logic. So you've never dealt with them personally, but base your decision completely on website pricing?

No he is basing it on the fact they stole a design, had it made cheaper overseas and used the name of the company they stole the design from to sell it. Stole design from company A.. got it made overseas for cheap and then put it on there website as company A's product.
