Default Mmp This Friday Night!

Alright. Let's get a count of who will be there this Friday night. I'll be there for sure, in the Silver Z-28 with duals.

I'm glad that the rain will finally let us be there.

Ryan, will you be there?

The car is down so it is unlikely that I will make it.

I was just doing routine maintenance and my hand slipped cutting the top of my hand to the bone. I had to get it stitched up. The car is still apart until I get the stitches out.

Good luck with the back surgery. You need to get it done while you are still young.

Montgomery is much closer to Enterprise than Jonesboro so I can watch the car. Plus you can drive the car up here and just leave it at my house. I will let it sleep inside with my white car.

Let me know if you are to make it to MMP this Friday and I will make it for no other reason but to watch.

My hand is fine. I think my first post made it sound much worse than it is.
It only took 3 stitches on my knuckle. I just can not turn a wrench.

i got it scheduled for friday morning 9:30am so hopefully it wont take any longer than noon to polish up the tuning which could have me in montgomery by 8-9pm i think, maybe sooner. thats enough time for a few runs eh?
BTW, i have a dumb question......I lost the only set of keys i had to my 95Z28 and i've looked everywhere for the last 3 weeks but to no avail so can i just bring the VIN number and proof of ownership to the local chevy dealer to get a new set? If not, how do i get a new set?

I just depends on the Dealer really, I lost the keys to my 95 s-10. I only found 1 dealership that would cut a key on cars older than 5yrs. I did get it cut though, I had to bring in proof of ownership & my license. It was $20 to pull the key code from the system, then $5 to cut a key. I dont guess $25 is to bad.
Good luck,
Vann

Vann's right about the keys.

John, hope your hand heals up soon.

Ryan, hope to see you tomorrow, and good luck with the back surgery.

My best run was a 12.966 @ 108.38. I couldn't get her out of the hole really well for some reason. I didn't even run below a 2.0 on 60", even on ET Streets. I really need a stall converter. This stock one just isn't cutting it.

I've got a video of that run actually, and I'll post it up tomorrow, along with an in car vid of me dusting a 05 Mustang.

Fun was had by all. Sorry you couldn't make it Ryan.

Here's the videos.

The first one is of me racing Eric, a friend of mine. He has an LT1 with the GM Hotcam, cut-out, most bolt-ons, and it's an M6. If he had sticky tires, he'd probably be beating me. I ran a 12.96 @ 108.38. I didn't realize that the car launches as hard as it does until I watched this video.

This one is me racing a stock 05 Mustang GT. I've been wanting to catch a race with one for a while. I pulled really good on it. I ran a 13.2 (with passenger) to his 14.4. I think that he could be running high 13's if he had more practice.

It was a blast lastnight, we looked for you Ryan. Too bad you couldn't make it. I'm happy I finnaly got 13's on street tires with my car. LOL, usually I'm hitting 14's if I run street tires on her. HAHAH! Anyways I need to hope onto Jegs and get my MT E/T's.
