damn the thread turned into the huntsville street racing thread. JK....

BJ -you get that trans yet? either of them? I finally finished all mine up last friday. Going to break it in for a few hundred miles then off to the track we go.

John- you get your car back yet?

whats going on vann? how was the holidays? when to the dyno the other day but the numbers where lower than what i thought they would be. Ill be ready for heads and cam in a couple of weeks.

What did it do? 290 or so? A4's dont dyno worth a **** but they run like hell at the track.

Good deal, I feel sorry for whoever has to swap the cam in that car. Its a pita....

You should buy a cam and a stall, and slap the bottle on it. That would be good for some low 11's

huntsvilles street scene is a waste of time... its mostly talk with a few fast cars


so gib you desided on a heads cam combo... about time, If you want to get with me I will have my heads and a cam (not the solid roller) for sale here shortly

Thats what i wanted to be when i had the car, a stall, et streets, and a 100 shot would make that car a very fast street car.

Hey Vann: Well he decided that he was going to go ahead and use that tranny for his own car so i didn't get it . so to make it better im ordering my MS4 thursday . Hoping i see some good performance from it.
Ya man well im hoping to have my cam and all installed and have my wheels and tires on and ready by early february. Just let me know when your going to the track Vann and ill see if i cant get some people together to come up there.

Well you guys if you didn't know, Steele has the best DA over all the other tracks around here so that will be prob where we go. I checked it out and on like a 50 degree night the DA is like -1201 so its great weather over there. So hoping ill see some low 7's when i get the cam in on the giggle juice ofcourse.

Hey guys, just checking in. Haven't been on here much during the holidays, mostly working
on my truck. I'm coming along w/ my LS6 install in the '90 SS. In the process of fabbing the
mounts now. Maybe it won't be too long til she fires. Let me know when y'all are heading
to steele I'll break out the GTO.

the numbers was 309.3 power and 316.8 torque. Vann i was going to see if you would be interested in changing out the heads and cam? My plans for the car is to do the heads and cam and then stall and tires and finish up with a direct port nitrous kit. Or at least thats my plans for now.

Im up for going to the track whenever.

Thats not that bad at all man. With the H/C combo you'd be at 400 or a little over maybe more. You'll just have to get with me when your ready and we'll go from there. Vette's are my most favorite to do. Sounds like a good set of solid plans..

putting the heads on would be easier. do u still have to pull the radiator/condensor and all that to get the cam out on a vette? ive never looked that close at one....

What do you think? lol It's still out of commission for now. Things are FINALLY coming along on it, so it should be done in the next week or two, although I've been saying that for a couple months now. I've got the headers, Borla, airbrushed FRC's, and some new speakers for it, so I have my work cut out for me when it gets done. I'm almost afraid of what the Borla is going to sound like with longtubes and an open plate... At least I have the electric cutout to close it off every now and then.

I need to try to talk Josh into putting a wager on my car putting down more power than the vette when I get it back and get down to the dyno Make it a little interesting...lol.

Dang that sucks. What the hold up other then its your typical body shop that never gets in any hurry to do anything?

It should. A buddy of mines 6spd Z with LT's and a little A/F tunning did 330 through a flowmaster. Where did Josh dyno at?
