Special Events Schedule September 22nd
Alabama Street racers will have your chance to continue this program Friday night September 22nd 2006. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with runs starting around 7:00 P.M. to around 1:00 A.M. No charge to run down the track. All racers are invited to run.
The rules:
1) All runs will be on a .400 (tenths) Pro Tree.
2) No times will be displayed on the score boards.
3) No times will be announced on the PA.
4) Know when to let off the gas!
5) New system will allow each lane time only. So, no one but you will know what you run. Time slip will still be optional.
6) Keep the track areas clean.
OK guys and gals, This is your event and make the most of it. (Racers need to take note!) The future of this event depends on your participation. We can tailor the event to accommodate all racers. Your input is welcome. I suggest you make flyers, post on the web and email this page to all friends and foes. $7 Gate.
Sorry but no motor cycles at this event.

Needless to say the bird will not be making an appearence saturday.THAT BLOWS.... maybe its just a pushrod.... Is it loud on a cold start then get quiet? Or does it clear up in rpms? I would pull the valve cover and check the rockers too

You hear nothing until the car gets up to operating temp, then you hear a nice knocking noise under a load from the driver front, yeah I gotta pull the valve cover off to better see what is going on. But if it is what I think it is, nothing I can do other then put thicker oil in it, or just pull the damn motor out and get it re-done. My racing days are over for now.

I see Kent sold that hood! Looks nice... The only thing I didnt like about it was when Id be working on his car and I had to drive that thing I couldnt see over it.

Yeah, this hood definitely takes some getting use to. I like it, but it's borderline too big to daily drive. I'm glad I kept the stock hood for any road trips. I'm in the process of swapping that v-6 nitrous kit over to the trans-am. Just not sure if I'll run in to any problems or parts I dont have that I need.

I Tried to give you a call greenfire and it went to your voicemail. my cell is 205-493-6055. I may not have service till about 4:30 though. I repainted my hood this morning so ive been tring to let it dry so i can put it back on. Hope to see you all later tonight!
