Default True Street in Dothan Dragway, AL

Ok guys, I'm putting a true street together. I want to see street cars to run in this event, no matter what type, as long as it has Tags Ins and registration. This is more towards the strip/ street car, yes there will be fast cars. This is what is all about:

No chassis cars.
No 4 links
No ladder bars
Mini tubs allowed
DOT tires Quickttime Pros, M/T ET streets, Drag radials or street radials no wider than 11"
No sheet metal dashes.
Racing seats allowed
Full exhaust, through the mufflers
Any year car or truck.

This is how it works, once I get everyone at the staging lanes, right before we start sending cars down the track, no one is allowed to open their hoods, refuel, change nitrous bottles, no one will be allowed to heat their bottles with a propane bottle, if you have a bottle heater hook up(12V) is allowed, turbo cars no Laptops inside the car once we start. You can lower tire pressure but can not air them up, no one is allowed near the cars except the driver. Once you complete one pass, you pick your time slip and come straight to the staging lanes and wait there until all cars have gone through the first round. If you stop at the pits you are automatically DQ, if you open your hood, DQ, if we see you spraying water at the front of the car for cooling, DQ. Once all 3 passes are done then you can go back to the pits until we announce the all average ET winner and runner up, then the 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0. Once this is done then we will call the 8 faster cars to run a Q8 heads up all out, winner gets money all up to the 4th place. The more cars the more their is to win. The Q8 will run in between rounds of the other classes to give them cooling time and do changes, this is allowed, but they have to race in the same tire that did with the true street. Then we will know who is the real King. I will like for everyone that wants to participate come and have fun and have a chance to win some money. I'll update and confirm date and cost to run and payout soon. Thanks:

Edgar

This is post it at dragcoverage.com in the heads up racing, look up True Street, if you want to participate, adress me and I'll put you on the list, you do not have to pay up front, you pay at the gate, and I will find out how much it will be.

So far 2 June. This is an 1/8 mile track, that's why I'm not going to do the cruise.

Well he said no 4 links so that leave's out the 79 -93 fox body. They are a factory 4 link set up.That should narrow the field down some.
Let us know when it is so we can start planning.Hope to get my car done as long as it is not next weekend.

You know what 4 links I'm talking about, tube chassis type and back half and no aftermarket ladder bars. Only OEM mounting points.

Here is a link to the tracks directions, http://www.dothandragway.com/Directions.html Track is something similar to Dallas track, has big score boards, good track surface, pits are grass. There are pictures on the website. Next week I have a meeting, once I look this in, I'll will post a link that I would like for anyone that wants to race, adrress me and let me know if you want to participate and I'll put you on that list, this will give an idea, how much space I will need to stage all true streeters and do a quick Tech.

Edgar

P.S. If you coming from Atlanta, the best way straight to the track, is taking 431 at Phenix City towards Eufala and go south all the way until you hit Dothan, then look up hgway 52, you'll see the farm center, turn there left if you coming from the north and follow that Highway, there will be signs to the track.
