got her back finally!!! lol.....i'm happy with it...it's like a whole different car now!!! lol....idle is still a little rough but it's not too bad...i can live with it....the dyno results are w/ an unlocked converter....no point in breaking the tranny to chase some numbers....so long as it performs i'm happy....

Sounds good grease, I know your excited

Pulled stock transmission yesterday, bell housing bolts and I had an epic battle involving about 2+ feet of extensions and wobble attachments, but I came out the winner. New Tranny etc goes in tomorrow. On a side note my wife volunteered to help to me for most of the removal, got dirty, didn't complain and proved super helpful. Was pretty awesome, I have to admit.

Those are STD #'s. Which means SAE is down in the high 350's range. Who dyno'd the car? Looks like locked converter #'s too. An unlocked converter dyno usually produces TQ spikes, that one doesn't.

Told ya not to get the T2.

Did you use a swivel and socket combo? If not get one of those for the top bolt. I used a swivel attachment with a shallow socket and it was tight.

high 350's low 360's unlocked yes....lock it and it's somewhere around 380-390 rwhp SAE.....the converter was not locked......

but i could care less if it was or not.....when i take it to the track then we'll see what the results are.......dyno's are nothing more than tuning tools....i could care less about numbers....my cars not a dyno queen....so long as it performs at the track that's all i care about.....

HP doesn't change when you lock the converter. TQ does. You're @ 370 STD, which means you'll be in the 350's SAE, locked or not. You're not going to gain 50rwhp locking the converter.

Good luck with the track #'s.

i'm pretty sure hp numbers change as well......if you go to the dyno results section you can find multiple posts of guys that made more hp with a locked converter....

and i don't need luck at the track.....i've got the performance to cover that lol

It all depends on the efficiency of the converter. I've done a million locked/unlocked dynos on a SS3600, as it's probably the most commonly purchased converter. There is not a 40hp difference, not even close. Probably 10-15 at most. Which would put you in the 360-365 range SAE.

I'm not trying to kick you in the ***** man. Just solidifying my argument on why I advised you against that cam.

We'll see what she runs at the track.

Sheik, I used wabble extensions mostly, and about 2 feet of extensions total and was able to get the 2 top bolts off fairly easily from down by the tailshaft. Oh and my air rachet was well worth the investment disassembling everything.
