honestly you should check into Patriot Performance. they are cheaper than AFR and very comparable. just an idea. so whats up josh, we gonna line em up this weekend? ill do it for giggles if its you. am not going to place bets againts my buddies, just the ricers and stangers!! Lol

With all the crap I've got planned for the car when I do it I'll be an easy 8 second street car. I'm wanting 1200rwhp when I do the turbo's so I'll be on race gas. Oh I also want to put the car on a diet. I just need to get a kuwait/iraq jig for a few months.

 

yeah im getting the deployment money itch already. the pay is just too damn good. id like to go with a forced induction 396 or 409 stroker. if i could get mine up near the 700rwhp range id call it done! but thats me.

I did come out. This motor I'm wanting is why I won't spend any money on the car now. I'll have atl. perf. build it. Their the ones that built hunter02ss's car. Rumor is I might get the trip I'm wanting sooner than I thought. After all the work that was done on the 97 I figure I've earned the right to pay someone to build this motor and whole car for that matter. I'm going to tell you right now there are no 8 sec street cars in columbus. Hell most of the car at the drags won't run an 8 sec pass on a 1/4 mile track. I'm coming out tonight someone give me a call and let me know where your meeting at. I'll bring the laptop and ***** out the 97 abit along with a dyno graph from the only tune so far.

There's one or two 9 sec cars around though. You just have to know were to look for them at. Every once in a while you might see a pure drag car putting around at 3 in the morning or something, doing something crazy like me and Transamkid saw a while back. My dad saw a GN driving around with a parachute on the back about a year or two ago. And I've seen a blue foxbody that ran a low 9 at the track driving around also. Both with full interior and everything. Also, most of the dudes with cars that fast are usually in their 50's and up and only come out once a year or something.

The fastest cars that you will probably find out at the meets are Craig and the dude that BigBuick and Karl were talking about, Walt. And they are fast!! If you come out enough though, I'm sure that you will find someone who is a challenge.

 

I'd like to see this race between Karl and Josh. Hopefully it doesn't happen at like 2 a.m. like most people around here wait to start racing, lol. I have to go to work in the morning. Maybe if you still want too Karl, I can try to get your buddy in the srt 4 to run you.....

 

i definitely wont be 2 in the morning. the sooner the better. what time we meeting up 9-ish still?
