Most all brake / suspension stuff transfers over. They changed the diff and a few other things for the C6. It's basically just a smaller and more refined version of a C5 with more creature comfort options. The newer technology engines / computers is what gives them most of their edge.
I just did an 08 auto (A6) car with a tune, 3.42 gears and a 2800 stall that runs consistent 11.60's @ 118mph. Stock air intake, paper filter, no headers, stock catback, stock everything else. LS3 powered C6's have got to be the easiest car to get into the 11's since the Grand National.

Yeah, like Damian said the brakes and most of the suspension can transfer over for the most part. I believe that you would need to step up your wheel size if you use the z06 brakes though, but I'm not positive on that. You can also use the c6z output shafts and a few other parts. It's a budget friendly way to upgrade a c5z depending on what it's going to be used for.

Just bought an 08 , putting an slp loudmouth exhaust on it today and then considering what my next mod should be. TECH Enthusiast

It's only been a track car lately, but it's not cut up or caged. All I have to do to put it back on the street is put the HVAC back in. (And engine/trans) It's got a spool, but I'm going to leave that in for awhile at least.
I'm in Milledgeville. About 2 hours away...right in the middle of the state. Hopefully I can get a break from my kids and make it down to Silver Dollar to meet some of ya'll one day.
