Nick,
You have to be careful working with the street racers who are heavily modding high mileage engines. You are setting yourself up for this kinda ****. What you need is a warranty disclaimer when working on internal components unless you build it from the ground up. Otherwise you are gonna have this happen again and again.
MTI in Houston stopped working on high mileage, heavily modified F-Bodies UNLESS they did the work from the beginning. Too many false claims and it was hurting their reputation. Now they are focused on the newer Vette market.

You are missing the point, not that its been 2 or 6 months since the work has been done its that the motor has been blown for 2 months. I get your drift about engines sitting on engine stands for months till asembled waiting on parts. But customers do not wait 2 months after blowing a motor and bring it to the builder and say this is the motor you did.. Nevertheless talk to nick and work it out. He has said on multiple occasions he was going to help you out untill you started threatening him...

First of all, I want to thank everyone for venting their frustrations out on issues that have nothing to do with Shreve Automotive. I am glad that you people got to rant, curse and rave at the expense of my thread, however, I want to stick to the topic at hand when I posted this thread and it was simply this - does anyone have any information about Shreve Automotive and this man named Steve?

Pete, i am not avoiding your phone calls. I can not have personal calls at my regular job. You just happened to catch me on my break. I am not being held responsiable for your failure to check piston to valve clearance. You were told to check it when you left my house. If i would have installed the heads and this happened, then yes it would be on me because it would have been my failure to check piston to valve clearance. About the shop we are by appointment only it clearly says it on the door. Im sorry for other peoples point of view. I can't control others. Your motor ran from your house to baton rouge and made dyno pulls. You could have eaisly over reved your motor and floated valves. It happens. I think you were wrong for jacking with this mans thread. You should have pmed me or contacted me sooner. Remember this is high performance stuff does break. Even to the best of us. If you would like you can contact my old buissness partner that helped fly cut your pistons. he goes by toxic_ws6 on here. He will even tell you we told you to check piston to valve clearance and if it was off we would make the cuts deeper before you started the motor.
