Its going to suck for your friend when he reads it.

I raced a 6spd/full exhaust/intake/ and tuned vette one day and put the smack down on him twice that was fun

Some of the people as always are idiots. There was this old guy busting like 100mph+ through town one day and I guess he expected me to race him. The funny part is his car was stock, like BONE stock. He blew past me like he was doing something and I was just like idiot. I do want to catch his *** out on the highway though. I'm going to bust his ***

haha alright well a few of you guys got it all mixed up here, I guess you didn't read carefully enough. sorry if i missed anything on page 3 and 4, I didn't want to read anything. Some smart moderator here moved my thread and I had no clue (since im still new) until I just searched for it like a week later. But anyway a few of you misread my post, such as TAToad and LS1W66. My post regarded the different between a T/A and a T/A WS6..not a formula. And as previously stated in my OP, I knew the LS1 is an LS1 thing, but I didn't know all the other differences, such as poeple said; sway bar, options, etc. That's what I was curious of. Thanks to those who helped though I appreciate it!!

short story I'd say:
front sway bar 30mm on ta and 32 on ws6
bigger air box on ws6
bigger exhaust on ws6
bigger hood ws6

I bet that'll cover it lol

This should cover it

Auto equipped WS6's required the GU5 3.23 gear set. but at an extra cost.
BTW the WS6 option was available on Formula's and Trans Am's from `96-00 and Trans Am's exclusively in `01-02.

There is no noticeable power difference between a Std. Car and a WS6 Car.
Quarter mile and Skidpad numbers show desrepencies towards both cars.
LIke said before in the end stock to stock it's a Drivers race.
Now I'm quoting myself.

Anyway sorry for the thread jack but it happens when people are as passionate about their rides as we all seem to be.

You forgot to add aluminum drive shaft. And a ram air will feed more air I don't think a T/A gets air at all not having a hood.

Aluminum driveshafts are std on 3.23 equipped F-bodies and all M6 F-bodies.
It's not part of the extra content of the WS6 Pkg.

you seem to really know your stuff, but you are every so slightly off on this one... some m6 f-bodies came with the steel driveshafts, but only the ones that came with r rated tires and 120 mph speed limiter. gotta love the exceptions lol, ask me how I know

Interesting.
Must be a Camaro Only thing or a line shortage at the Assembly plant.
LS1 equipped Formula's and Trans Am's were never available with anything less then a Z rated tire (even the std 245/50 16 RSA all seasons were Z rated)
My Father and I had identical cars except I ordered the no cost option of GSC's over the RSA's.

it may have been a camaro thing, because ive seen a few camaros on here who had the speed limiter at 120 (id tell ya to search for it but search has been gay the past couple days lol). I think the issue was the 5 spoke 16" rims had the option of r rated tires.

It is really dependant on what Tires were available as Std equipment.
Previous F-cars had a 235/55/16 Eagle GA as the base tire for V6 and V8's
I'm not familiar enough with the Z28's Std equipment to know whether these were still the base model tire after 1997. Meaning if you orderd the Z rated tires you would get the 155 speedo and the accompanying speed govenor.
