Default 30th anniversary cars come in!!!!

I don't know of any other 97 SS's that were ordered without the stripes and would be interested to know if she's the only one.
If it is a true 30th Anniversary SS, you will not only have a SS build number from SLP but also a 30th Anniversary build number. Here is a scan of my SLP window sticker. I have removed my VIN # & Order # for posting here in this website. You will note that my SS build # was 2091 and my 30th Anniversary build # is 0742. If your car doesn't have the 30th Anniversary build number, it isn't a 30th Anniversary Camaro. I haven't heard of any EVER that came without the Hugger Orange stripes but as we all know, nothing is ever impossible............just inprobable.

Here is my 30th Anniversary Camaro SS convertible:

The RPO tag sticker is on the driverside door jamb. Looks like this:

Z4C = 30th Anniversary Camaro Package
WU9 = 30th Anniversary SS Pacakage

I've got the 2 codes on my sticker and tried to upload a pic of the door jamb but the site isn't letting me upload my photos. I'll try again later...

I like that all 97s came with 30th in the headrests, back seats and floor mats because its the ONLY year they had the 93-96 exterior with 98-02 interior (and tail lights)

its a mut, and i love mine

Yep, with the R7A, R7T and the WU9 it is a 30th Anniversary SS, just missing the orange stripes.

Can we see some pictures of the full car? Like your avatar? I haven't seen one without stripes before.

Let me clean her up and I'll take some new pics. It's been a while since I've shot her anyways. In my avatar you can see the Wings West bodykit that was temporarily installed so I could ship her here to Hawaii without damaging it in my household goods shipment. I've since taken it off and in the process of painting it right now. Kind of mixed about putting it on. Is there a break down on all the codes that are on the door sticker?

Here is an odd one, I have a 97 Z28 and a guy that I work with has a 97 Z28. Mine is a 30th and his is not. I have the newer dash in mine and his has the older dash. Like I said, both are 97's. Anybody hear of this?

Like all aniversary cars they make only so many 97 anniversary cars and still produce the normal year car. Hope this makes sense!

Sounds like your friend needs to check his VIN on carfax and discover he owns a '96.

I contacted SLP about 2 years ago and they said my build # for my car was 0502. How do I found out the Anniversary build # like the convertibles one above? Are the numbers assigned by SLP or GM?
