2001 hugger orange berger ss?
Anybody have any more info on this? Stopped a girl last night, car had the metal berger emblem and the fender emblems and everything, leading me to believe it IS indeed a real berger SS. Wondering if anybody has a way to see if there was a hugger orange 2001 berger SS or not.
BTW, girl is 16, daddy bought her the car for her 16th birthday because she thought it was "cute"

^thank you
Next time i run into her (probably friday night), I am going to ask to see the door jam and what not to see if there is a berger number in there. I highly doubt it is a clone since it does have the real metal "by berger" badge on the back, and everything else is correct.
Be kinda weird to see a 16 year old girl have the ONLY HO berger SS, and not even know what she has

Hey, I was googling to find out about what's done to those cars, and this article talks about how much this guy paid for his Berger SS, and then it notes that the price was also higher than normal because he paid an extra 9k to paint the car HO from its original black.
Maybe this is the one she has and this guy sold it to her or something?

the car I saw is in Topeka, KS. 16 year old girl driving it, dad bought it for her for her 16th bday from some guy in missouri. Thats the only history i know of it, and thats all she knew about the car in general. She didnt know what the other emblems were or anything. She was like "oh, thats why it says 'By Berger' on the back?"

Is it an Auto or 6spd?
Not many GMMG cars came to Missouri or at least St. Louis. The only GMMG cars that have been in St. Louis since new are the following (that I personally know of)
2002 Navy blue metallic Berger SS "Phase II"
2002 Hugger Orange ZL1 base 405hp
2002 Berger Z7D SS silver brickyard pace car (1 of 2) Since sold
2002 Berger Z7D SS silver brickyard pace car (2 of 2) since sold
The Camaro club of Kansas City may know of this car. May want to post on ther site to get the details of this car and it's death sentence.

the car IS a 6 speed. Whats the camaro club of KC website? I'll post it up over there and on mofbody and see if anybody knows. Ive been asking around trying to get the girls name, hopefully she will be out tomorrow so i can check it out. Too bad she's not 2 years older, i'd try to marry her and divorce her and take the car so i know it'd be safe!

Was it this one?
2001 SS #40 was hugger orange
Don't know the number of this one (or maybe these are two different cars) but that's the only orange ones I have pics of.

Maybe they took the stripes off of it to lower the chance of high school kids vandalizing and/or stealing the car...
That'd sure be a shame...
If that was what they did, then it doesn't make sense to leave all of the emblems on it either...
If it was a 2001 with white seats and hugger orange paint, it's not factory original to say the least, so there's at least something special about it whether it's a clone or not.

The Berger custom paints did not hit their hey day until the 2002 model year.
