Firehawk #77, Found & Bought
I had an impulse buy and found #77 of the 1999 Firehawk Formula's on Craigslist here in Arizona. Car seems to be somewhat rare in being a formula, red, six speed, chrome firehawk wheels (in great condition for some reason), and no T-tops. Car was sold in AZ and has been here all its life. They don't show up very often so I grabbed it. Has all the documentation and build sheets too, with the accompanying SLP supplement booklet.
I met with the guy and made him an offer. Car is in good shape, needs a full buff job on the hood, lots of engine degreasing, and some general maintenance.
Only mod I can see is an SLP lid and KN filter.
AC doesn't work, and for some reason the heater core hoses from the water pump are disconnected?
Car is now in the garage getting cleaned up and fixed up.
One question, the car has the single outlet dual SLP exhaust? I was under the impression these were supposed to have the dual duals.
Let me know what you think. It's a semi project for now, probably looking to resell it soon.
I need to repaint the front bumper to get rid of the black Firehawk and go back to the stock bright red.
The hood, headlights, and front bumper may be getting repainted soon.
It's going to stay stockish until I'm finished cleaning her up.
69K miles, bone stock, let the modding begin.Good looking cars BTW.
