Default factory ls6 ws6 trans am limited edition

Long time fan former member! Recently acquired a limited edition ls6 trans am while I was deployed with 58000 original miles. It came from factory with the ls6 from 2001. Its equipped with everything. Ttops ram air ws6 ls6 engine tcs leather u name it. Extremely great condition. I was extremely lucky to find this car and get a good deal.
Upgrades
Bbk long tube headers and h pipe
Cross drilled and slotted rotors
Prev owner says its sitting on 450 HP to flywheel.

questions.
No matter how hard I try I can't find how many of these cars were made. Does anyone know?
What would a value of a limited edition car like this be?
And what are your upgrade recommendations? (Short of forced induction)
This is going to be my daily driver (12 miles a day lol) and its show car quality.
Thank u in advance. All I could find was average ws6 info

It appears that you have a lot of reading up to do, ...
Congrat's on the new ride tho!

Go search threads about the LS6 block, etc.
Check for the block part number on the back side.
Give us more detail on what the former owner told you about the car.
(I'd guess he bull-shitted you so much, it stinks, ..., )

I've read on the ls6 quite a bit. They were put in the corvette zo6 in 2001 as well. Had my mechanic check. It out and he agrees its def a ls6. Along the scoop and on the back part of front fender the ls6 limited edition stickers are from factory with matching material of the ram air stickers. There's no doubt its a true ls6 from the factory. As far as what else the previous owner told me he only said its getting super hard to find the limited edition ls6 ones. I've ran the numbers on this car and with the full exhaust and long tube headers its realistically pushing 435-440 HP to the flywheel (not rwhp). Stock ls6 package on this is 405 so with this exhaust system I don't think its unrealistic to think 435. I really don't think he was bsn. I've only seen one car with this package back in 02. A family friend had it and totaled it. I've personally schooled a TT 350z. So do u know anymore about this limited edition than your post that was vague about me needing to read?

GM used both LS1 and LS6 blocks in F-bodies during 2001-2002. But you seem to have a complete LS-6 engine in yours, I never knew Pontiac put a LS-6 engine in a Trans AM.

I only knew bcuz a family friend had one. I've checked it out and it appears to have ls6 intake and heads as well as computer and everything from the zo6. I was hoping with all the combined knowledge here I could find some answers.

I think there is some miscommunication somewhere. If you have a 2001 WS6 Trans Am with a (complete LS6 engine from the factory), then you have a "GOLD MINE" because it would be 1 of 1.

no such thing as a ls6 limited edition. I hope you didn't pay to much for some b.s the seller told you.

Correct me if I'm wrong the only reason they used ls6 blocks in some was because they ran out of the ls1 block.

I got just as good of a deal as I would have a regular ls1 with 58k on it. Maybe even better. Guy cut me a break bcuz his father served 30 years same branch as me. And I need to do some looking then bcuz I'm 98% sure its straight from the factory. What numbers do I need to get matching up to find out if its ls6 from factory? (Complete ls6) like I said I've only seen one before. I stomp every ls1 I come across, other guys with trans ams have literally broken out cameras to take pics of this thing. And I dont see any indications of an engine swap or anything in the bay. Any ideas guys? I'll try and contact the guy I bought it from

It looks like you have one very rare TA! The only way I can think of to get more info would be to contact ASC and get a build # and maybe they can tell you something.

Take care of that "bird" it could fund your retirement.

You don't have to take off the valve covers to see the number. It is on the outside edge of the heads. look closely at the picture.
