~20 year old WS6 owners?
hey guys,
I'm 20, and i'm looking at buying a WS6. If anybody else is in this age bracket, send me a pm. I just have some questions about how you guys are managing to pay for the car, loans etc. also experiences you might have keeping the car at college or as a daily driver etc
thanks!
or just post here i guess, up to you!

Hey I am 24, I don't have a WS6, my car is a 2000 TA...but I think they are in the same bracket for insurance. I pay 176/month insurance and 425/month payments. (payments are high because they applied negative equity to my loan balance.

I am 19 and bought a 98 WS6, I dont drive it college I keep it at home. oh yeah if possible to drive a second vehicle to school put the WS6's insurance under a weekend driver it will save you some cash. I dont know what to tell you about the loan's I got lucky enough to have my uncle be a loan officer so I get the family hook up.

Im 21 and have a 00 WS6 and pay about 185/month for insurance and around 460/month for car(kinda high because I dont have that long of a credit history). I work for the railroad and travel alot so I bought a cavalier to put miles on instead of my t/a. I work for 8 days and then I get 7 off so my WS6 is sitting for at least half of the month.

i should find out today if I'll beable to get a loan or not. This car would be my daily driver right now, I'd be selling my 04 Cavalier for this car....thats the only part I don't like...having it be a daily driver

I'm 23 and live in Indiana, go to school and my 01 ws6 is my daily driver. Not bad to have because I walk to class, but if I need to the traction control helps out. get the car you won't regret it.

I'm 25 now, but I bought my 'Hawk when I was 23. I bought my '94 when I was 19. I keep the '94 as my daily driver now and garage the Firehawk. My father put the entire purchase price of the '94 in an escrow account at the bank so I could get the loan. When the car was paid off, plus a student loan I had perfect credit to buy the 'Hawk with no money down! (Of course it helped that I was the internet manager of the dealership at the time.)
MetallicaMatt- I'm the fella that gave you advice before. Is your name on the finance note for the Cavalier? Do you owe more money on it than it's worth?

Well, I don't have a WS6, but close enough. I got my '02 SS new when I was 21, and have had it at school, and it is now my daily driver. Insurance in Colorado was horrendous (~$1200 every 6), but insurance here in FL is much better (~$790 every six). I have a perfect driving record, so that helps. I do have a steady income now, so taking care of this is no problem. Even have enough to have dumped quite a bit of money into the exhaust and suspension.
FWIW, my car payments are about $433 a month...

I am almost 19, freshman in college, and I am paying for a 99 Firehawk. I took out a loan in april for 5 years at 326 a month or 15.5K with an interest rate of 5%. I got a lot of scholarships, govt money, and so forth and i have very little in loans (10K a year to go to KSU) and my loans don't have to start being paid until after i graduate. I just recently got a job and with my insurance under my mom, total bills are about 475 a month. It really sucks though cause if I didn't have to pay so much for my car, I wouldn't have to be stuck working so many hours and would have more free time. That is the only drawback. You can get a cheap z28 or something and mod it and then not have to work your *** off. Just depends on what you want to do. I have thought about selling my car but I just love it too much so I will work to survive. Good luck man.

Turned 20 last december, had the car since I was 18. Worked through my senior year in high school and into now to pay off the loan, parents pay insurance. I paid for all my mods except the corsa exhaust, lid, and rims as those came with the car. Only paid $20,000 for it back in early 03. The loan was under my fathers name(to get a lower rate) but I put a $10,000 down payment and pay $350 a month. Only 1 year left to go.
