Default Replacement for BG Ram Air Kit for WS6?

Anyone heard of anything to replace Brian Greene's Ram Air Kit that he stopped making earlier this year?

I didn't get one in time and I wonder if anyone has found something similar.

Try Speed inc (and some other places may carry it as well but i'm not sure).
I just happened to see it on thier website one day and remembered they sold it.

Look in their catalog under induction for our cars and Scroll down toward the bottom...
u should see it there about the 13th or 14th item down.

How do you get a build number for a WS6?

I wonder if I copied the kit using the original parts to make a mold, how much of a market would there be?

I doubt BG would mind since he's not in business anymore.

I'd buy it. I'm considering making my own homemade setup out of sheet metal.

I renewed an old BGRA post on LS1.com which ended up having Brian Greene talk to a guy that does plastic injection moulding - maybe somoething will come of it?

Here's the thread http://ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3882&page=2

Used to be that you could e-mail ASC your VIN and they'd give you a conversion date and number. Not sure if they still do that now though, I got mine over 5 years ago.

As for the BG system, it's great. I loved mine. I don't think Speed Inc would have any left. As far as I understood, they didn't stock them, they would be made to order by BG. I could be wrong though, you could always call Speed and ask.

I need to drill the holes in the plastic and get the foam for it. But other than that, i could install it at anytime. Let me get this stuff done and then ill go ahead and post some installed pics of it.

Did you make it so you could use the BGRA pieces still made (foam, nose pieces, etc).

Looking forward to the pics!

I wasnt planning on using the nose pieces(corner pieces). I am sure i could adjust it to use them. Right now its a boxed design, i wanna see how it works and then im going to look into getting it injection molded. If there is enough need for it.

Speedinc.com and afterthoughtsauto.com only sell replacement parts i.e. the nostrils, rain blocker, and gasket. The actual kit is no longer for sale. I just made a post about it I think 2 weeks ago in the external engine forum here b/c I saw them roaming around looking for parts for my car. Luckily I had a guy email me 3 days later saying he had one he would sell me. Lucky me got it for a great price. Should be here early next week Im hoping.

Heres a link to my thread about it. It also includes info on the Volant RA kit (substitute to the BGRA) and a guy that will emailyou specs of how to make the home made kit out of sheet metal:

Bump, I would really like to know as well. I have a couple of other questions as well that I can't seem to find answers for. First, does the rain blocker still work without the kit? Also, could one just buy a piece of foam and the replacement gasket and use the gasket as a template to cut the foam?
