chrome shifter on 01 SS?

chrome shifter on 01 SS?

okay so like it says...my 01 SS car has the chrome hurst shift handled stick. i dont see pics of any others like it. im the 2nd owner and 40k on the car, i dont beleive the owner changed it. was this an option? i know they all got the hurst shifter mechanism itself but not the chrome stick and black ****. maybe the owner did change it. he was a dork so i find it hard to beleive that.

the car is kinda weird, its a D1SC car with t-tops and monsoon. so it wouldnt surprise if it was stock. what do you guys think?

IF the original owner changed the shifter to an aftermarket Hurst billet, and it's NOT the factory option Hurst, he had the (extra cost) option for the 'old school' chrome Hurst engraved shifter handle with the black Hurst ball ****.

This has a gold colored billet base,chrome steel shaft ,and a hard plastic shift **** with the shift pattern on it.Should the original be the same except the shaft is round and black rather than flat and chrome?

I have the same shifter but different ****, it is the hurst billet shifter.

You have an aftermarket shifter which seems to be the Hurst Billet Plus. The base on the factory Hurst is black.

It's not factory. This is the shifter I put in my Camaro along with a vintage chrome OEM ****. Haven't seen them lately... is Hurst still selling this chrome version?
