SLP G8 Firehawk?

Please hear the cries of the very enthusiasts that pay your bills, keep the lights on over at SLP. I see now why you didnt show up to the annual Firehawk owners of America dinner in Norwalk,OH this year. Imagine if you had announced this at the meeting. Why not just call it something else ? I love the idea of a re-paneled Camaro .. imagine every owner who has vowed "bring back the Trans Am we buy it." instead of Pontiac recieving the sales SLP would .... im sure that would fatten your pocket - that is what your trying to do isn't it !

According to the Wall Street Journal, the G8 is selling like typewriters, so I doubt the car is around for very long anyway, regardless of what stickers and crap somebody slaps on the car.
As the current owner of a Hawk, most people have no idea what a Firehawk is anyway, so I don't think the bastardization of the name is going to hurt anything. Hell, Ford slapped aluminum rims and mustang seats in Escorts in the 80s and called them Escort GTs. Didn't seem to hurt the image of Mustang GTs. To this day, Chevy has front wheel drive cars with SS nomenclature.

I have a lightning and made by svt. The svt mustang is called a Cobra, and the svt focus is called a POS, but not Lightning.
