what even worse is when someone says 4th gens are rattle traps. I've got an SS and a Hawk sitting in my garage that DON'T rattle.

yeah i agree. But however not the same thing. Every car company has something using the Gran Touring or Gran Turismo name plates. IE;
GTO GTS GT GTP GTX GTR GTB. Am I missing one?

I'm very disapointed. The uniqueness I have aquire with the Hawk will definetly fade away due to, what I believe, misuse of the trademark.

I remember the original site and it was great; the ball was dropped on that one, and now the actual pride of the name is being dropped as well.

Ridiculous. I love Firehawks. Will not ever even think about purchasing anything "badged" as a Firehawk other than a Firebird.

EW. They continue to destroy once respected badges. The SS badge is a complete joke now, so why not throw the Firehawk badge in the joke pile too. Typical.

I can not believe this.....there is nothing to say that hasn't already been said many times already. But I think it's worth pointing out that I also think that Dave obviously could not care less about any current Firehawk owner. Not because of his or SLPs decision...because of his tone and comments that he made in his posts. It will not be forgotten.

Just got back from a vacation and am very sad to see a money grab on a wonderful nameplate such as Firehawk. Shameful!!! I hope they sell ZERO.

I wonder how he feels when he goes to bed at night knowing that a lot of people dislike him for this...... and there are a few people in the world that actually HATE him?

I haven't seen anything decent come out of SLP since 2002 anyway, and I already sold my Firehawk Formula.

If I want a hopped up G8, I will FI a GXP.

Why are all of you stressed out about this? SLP owns the name and they decided to use the name elsewhere. They own the name. If you don't like then don't buy the car. Most of you are not going to buy the car regardless of the name anyways.

it's cheaper for Pontiac to put badges on an Australian car then actually spend time designing a new American car like the new Ford mustang, Dodge charger/challenger & Chevrolet camaro ?
