Good question.

I would say if your car is a weekend driver there is no reason why you can't go with that combination.

The flanges are done more for rotational mass savings (Less parasitic loss).

JamMasterJ: Sorry about not getting back to you, didn't check this thread. I would say try the Auburn, but your trying to put a lot of power through a Posi unfortunately.

Give me a call at 516-779-2330, we'll talk about it.

Thanks\

I'd like a price on the housing and axle package too. I built one for my 98 Z back about 4 years ago and it has worked out really good. Now I am about to start building one for someone else and possibly another one for another guy and I'm looking for the best deal.

Default Moser 12 bolt posi VS Moser 9" for f-body

I would be interested. I have the standard 10 bolt with an Auburn in a 2002 Firehawk. I do not have traction control. It sounds like you like the posi unit best and I understand. What are the advantages of going to the 9" housing assembly other then it is stronger and eliminates the c-clip design?

How much for shipping to Overland Park, KS?

Is this something two guys can do in a garage?

I'm interested but am still trying to decide 12 bolt vs 9 inch vs ? Please provide some tech info regarding the more agressive diff used by Moser when 33 spline axels are ordered. (1) I understand they increase the diff spring pressure to 800# and add clutch plates? Is this the same as the Eaton Brute Strength Diff w/22 clutch plates vs OE 18? (2) Does Moser eliminate the friction disks when using the 800# springs as suggested by Eaton when using such high rate springs? You can see this reco at the Eaton website: http://traction.eaton.com/prod8.htm

Eaton also offers an upgrade parts package: 24 plates and 800# springs. Are these available installed or only on an upgrade basis requiring the tear down of a new rear?

Steve
