Default FAST Intakes @ Thunder Racing...THEY'RE HERE!

We received a very small batch of FAST intakes in stock today. We have a tear-down in progress and dyno-testing will commence soon. The lucky few people who will be receiving their intakes from this first batch will be receiving phone calls shortly...

Ok, Here's the results of the first car we are testing it on....This is Jason99T/A's car and he will post his mods below...basically, it's a cam/stock heads car w/ bolt on's. Two more cars will be tested this afternoon....

OK, Here's the graph vs a stock LS1 intake. The car is a 2000 SS w/ pulley, ported tb, Borla cat-back, Whisper lid and that's it. NO other changes were made except for the manifold.

Yes, That's 20.3 horsepower & 17.5 torque!

That is an awesome gain. Any plans to try one on a boosted car?

Here's a little more testing results:

The car is a 2000 SS w/ iron block (375 ci), Stage 2 heads, big cam, all the bolt-ons, headers w/ bullet mufflers. He swapped from an LS6 intake to the FAST...no other changes were made. Before & after runs were made back to back and the intake was changed w/ the car strapped down on the dyno. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact numbers, but the end result was a gain of 7 rwhp. I'm really curious to see if the bottleneck on these bigger motors is with the 78mm intake...possibly the 90mm intake & tb combo might be the answer for these cars? We'll be testing more as soon as we get some of the 90mm tb's in. I will post Shane's graph first thing in the morning.

Did either of the cars above, with dyno charts, have an LS6 intake? Or are both graphs showing gains above the LS1 intake?

TTT

any news on the ETA for the next batch of intakes to ship? I know I'm at least little closer to the top of the waiting list of pre-orders

TIA
