This 427 engine package is not ideal for forced induction or heavy power adder. Long stroke crankshaft, short CH piston, plasma moly rings. This engine package is best for street driven NA, and 150hp nitrous.
Other factor I find, people want to run this 427 with single small frame turbocharger, that will result in backpressure issues.
We developed our 390ci package from ground up an FI engine, Pistons, piston rings, and pins etc. Shorter stroke allows us to have a thicker piston. Most combinations work best with 390, unless you have over 150lbs/min airflow potential, at that point you would need LSX block or likewise, stronger crankshaft, stronger rods, based on that power potential.
very soon we will have 390ci engine sale priced
Does that answer your question?
Heres a pic of the 390ci pistons we've collaborated with CP pistons to have produced
