I'm in the market for a 408 Iron block to handle 1000-1200 whp. Going in 2005 CTS-V
Going to be using ported 317 heads I already have and possibly step up to aftermarket thick deck heads later.
Probably going to want the mains pinned, and the block o-ringed unless you can offer a better solution. Bottom line: I want it to hold together at the mile on ~22 psi of boost and the nitrous.
Looks like I'll be running an 88 or 91 mm rear mount turbo, spraying methanol, and direct porting some nitrous (150-250 shot at most)
Please pm me what you think will work for this goal and cost. Going to try to run it at the mile.
