JNorris: These part are powdercoated. Black is the standard color but we can do any standard color for no additional price. Let me know your color preference and i can let you know if its available.
David: The Mild Steel k-members weigh 18-22 lbs depending on the option wanted on the k-member. The chromoly units can build to be about 4 lbs lighter. The stock unit weighs about 55 lbs. I will need to weigh a pair of our a-arms to see the weigh savings (new design is a bit different).

have you thought of offering a "road race" versoin k-member? in the handling forums, there are lots of people waiting for LG to come out with one, but its been over a year so far, and no progress. it seems the only k members out there are not strong enough for the high forces encountered on a road race course. if you build it, they will come.

I'd also be interested in a "road race" version, especially if it could deal with daily driving. I'd love to shave some weight off the nose, but the car is a daily driver and I don't want to sacrifice any reliability.

I have a chromoly k-member on my car, as well as chromoly a-arms. They have been on there for over a year now with no problems. I have put probably 20k+ miles on them, including taking a 2k mile road trip to florida. I cant see myself ever having a problem with it, because after looking at a stamped out factory k-member, its easy to see that a tubular one is no sacrifice in strength.
For those of you who are interested in a road racing k-member, we do offer one. They are quite a bit more expensive than our regular units, but they have so much bracing that it takes twice the material and three times the time to make one. We sell the mild steel units for $675 and the chromoly units for $759. I will try to get some pictures up of them.
