Default Need Feedback on Possible Budget Series Engines

Guys, I typically specialize in higher end engines such as this one:

http://www.rapidmotorsports.com/mode...=1&intYearId=3

But there seems to be alot of interest in 400+ CI engines on a budget so I wanted to get some feedback on this product:

http://www.rapidmotorsports.com/mode...=1&intYearId=3

This is preliminary pricing and will most likely be a little less.

I am also putting together some LS2 based budget series strokers.

Look for 427+ CID LS2's very soon!

Feedback please

What kind of power do you expect to get out of this motor?

Depends on the cam used and bolt ons. 480rwhp would be a conservative estimate.

Thanks for the feedback guys. All positive. I'll most likely make this all official next week. Need to work on a few more details.

Notice that there are no pushrods, rockers or oil pump included. Are you guys ok with that? Budget means budget and this was a way to bring the prices down.

Those were M6 numbers. Cam would depend on the heads I ultimately decide to use. Would probably be something similar to the PP LQ9 heads.

personally i'd rather buy a shortblock. i don't mind doing some assembly, i just don't have the tools/facilities to assemble the bottom end. thats a great price for a long block tho, especially those like me who are on a tight budget. good luck with it mikey!

Mike, if you need an A4 test car then you could use mine as long as I got a big discount.
