Im curious, whats a crane tuner? I am looking to tune my car myself this summer so i am interested in any tuning devices or programs, so what is it?

it does not delete any codes. what it does do, is set the parameters wide enough as not to trip the MIL light. jwitt2 on this board used it on his 99TA M6 that had no AIR, EGR, or CATS. and the coded never appeared. i picked up .2 and 1.4 mph on my 00 formula when it was stock. jwitt2 picked .5 in the 1/4 when he installed it in his. on his car was longtubes, no air, cats, egr, ls6 intake, lid, filter, slp 85mm maf.

My idle is at a high of 950... I would like to lower some where between 825 and 900, but I do not see an options for lowering the idle only increasing be on "stock"- but it's not stock. Can I do this??

at this time, you cannot decrease idle rpms. my question is, why is it idling at 950 rpms? i know stock isn't that. did you have a tune done before using the vhp tuner?

Each program in the tuner requests the stock idle and based on individual preferences and variables such as duration and overlap the idle can be raised in 50 rpm increments a total of 300 rpms.

This tuner was the answer to my going from 358/365 SAE to 415/402 observed on the same dyno with no other changes.The car picked up 2-3 MPH so far and should be more when the suspension is sorted out and I get the 60' I got last year.One nice thing to think about is the vinci/crane is not vin locked,when you sell it you download your tune back into it and the buyer has no problems. I wasn't being deceptive on the dyno,I never read the sheet right and didn't tell the operator that the previous dyno was SAE.I would say an honest 30 HP was made on my car and that was a XXXXX inc mailorder tune.
