How much power can they hold? What is the expected power of those engines?

it all depends on the cam and the complementing modifications. but we have guys putting down over 750 to the ground with our shortblock and moderate boost.

it could handle that as well. would require a custom piston to lower boost abit but that only cost $120 extra. you would need about -14 cc piston.

I will be running stage ported/polished LS6 heads, 02 LS6 cam w/ 1.8 roller rockers and MLS head gaskets...what would the compression ratio be and will the valves clear the pistons? I'm still very interested!

If u sale these 2 blocks, how much are they at regular price? How much would shipping be to 67212? I REALLY hope u have a block left within a week so I can claim it

your compression would be 10.5-10.6:1 if your heads are unmilled. you would have plenty of clearance with the pistons we use. the reliefs are .165 deep intake and .107 deep exhaust. so you have alot of clearance. normal price is $2999.99 per shortblock without a sale.

by the way shipping is approx $140 and it will have to go to a business or you would have to pick it up at the local hub.

In the first post you said you can't change the pistons on these.

Is the -14cc really a $120 option on one of these $2700 setups?

My car has run one time since the end of January and that's when I blew 3 pistons after a turbo install where I had the timing table set up wrong.

I'm ready to get rolling again.

Hey Shane, nice ride!

Heck, I sprayed it, then supercharged it, then did a v6 to v8 swap, with a heads/cam install, then a front breather conversion, a shift kit, etc., etc. All went well with every major change.

The teardown for the turbo install started at the end of Jan/beginning of Feb. Spent a couple of months tinkering with it. Reworking some of the tubing for more clearance, tapping the oil pan, fixing a tranny leak, finding the right exhaust to mate up to the turbo. First time out (early April I think it was), I blew 3 pistons on the first wot pass. Too much timing in the midrange airflow, I had reduced the timing in the high end only.
Very expensive lesson.

Ran out of money and time. (and patience for a while - that was a sickening feeling when it blew after all that work). So I let it sit for a while. Got the wedding and honeymoon behind me, got some other things settled down too. Now, it's time to get that thing going again! I've waited long enough.

Demon - give me a holler about those -14's on the 2700 setups. Thanks!

we have had more people interested in the boost setup recently so we decided to go ahead and keep this sale on a few other 347 short blocks set up for boost. only thing is these engines are not ready to go as the -2 cc 347's are. it will take me about 2 weeks to get custom pistons for a boost set up. but yes we could do one for 2829.99
