One request...

When someone gets one of these installed on their car, can we get some installed pics? The thing looks massive I also want to see if a car can be lowered and still use this rear...I'm thinking that might be an issue for someone like me.

I don't see being lowered an issue.

I had a 9" in my 96 Z that was lowered. This was a Moser with the huge TA bracket which hit the tunnel otherwise I had no issues. The Dana fits 100 times better then my 9 " did and that why I make the educated guess that it will be fine.

We should have a few installed within the next 4-6 weeks.

please get all orders in by Friday

also... GM OEM backing plate prices are now $250 pr.

thanks

Well, the TA bracket hitting the tunnel would be what I'm worried about, along with the fact that I run a torque arm that requires a bit more room than the factory stocker (LG torque arm).

I should be able to figure it out after looking at some installed pics, so I'll wait until then

I was saying that the Dana isn't as tight or bulky as my 9" was.

I guess pics would give you a better idea. I think Yukz has some pics of his installed.

I know you said the gundrilled 40 spline axles aren't an option, but are the 35 splines available gundrilled. I'm looking to shave down some of the weight gain.

Thanks

sorry, I overlooked your question. There are alot of posts that are not needed as you can see.

I don't think there is a magnet as the cover is alum and would have no way to stick unlike a steel cover.

warranty :

http://www.strangeengineering.net/catalog/index.html

lower right corner for warranty info

thanks

What are "gun-drilled" axles? What's the difference?

The fill/drain plug on the covers(from the looks of some of the other ones on their website, the Chrome and alum ones have them) might be magnetic, and if they aren't, I'm sure you could get one that is.
