So basically to get the most our of your springs and what they are designed to do, you want to get either the Revalved Bilsteins or the Konis? Correct? B/C after Xmas Im buying a bunch of stuff from you, but I will call first obviously

To get the most from ANY lowering spring, you need a shock that is valved accordingly. Shocks *are* actually spring dampers. That's one reason my springs are linear and not progressive, it's kind of hard to damp a spring when the rate is changing on a per movement basis.

Revalves are built to order. No, I don't have them in stock, I don't keep them in stock because situations vary and shocks contribute to ride and handling balance greatly. So no everyone ends up with same valving even if they have the same springs.

hey sam i have an 01 z28 with a lingenfelter 383 package installed ..puts down 400 to the wheels. the suspension is completely stock and im looking for somthing like the new springs your carrying...i dont track the car and dont plan on it but the stock suspension is way to loose for me....what parts would u recommend? im in roch,ny and mike up at newera perforance will likely be doing much of the install....at the moment im thinking your strano springs, strano sway bars, koni sa's, and i dont know which lca's, panhard bar, would be best to compliment these parts...i obviously want the suspension to be balanced yet very tight and responsive.....im planning on some slp weld in sub frames as well......thanks

Hi Sam,

Do you have the spings in stock currently? If so, can you shoot me a pm with a price for shipping to Milan, Italy?

Also, do you have any T2R's in stock?

Thanks,

I'm more than happy to help you with the decision making process by explaining how things work and why we'd use A instead of B or C. But there is no way on God's green earth that I can do it even close to effectively unless we speak. I need to get a better idea of what you want, what you know, and be able to explain what I know so you can make the best choices.

Being honest, we might decide on all those parts, or just some of them. The stock tuning is so poor that most folks don't grasp that often it's a few parts that are responsible for 90% of the issues. I need to determine if you are one of those folks or not. Furthermore, we can always add more parts if we need them, but I like to work in stages when we can to make sure you don't "overbuy".

Feel free to call my on our technical line: 814-849-3450

I'm out of T2R's, ETA for a new batch is unknown right now. I have springs in stock now, and can ship them, but you have to give me some information. Remember if we use the Postal Service there are many delivery options available. Right now I don't really have any spare time to try an search them all, and I don't even have an full address to do it with.

The springs are about 28 pounds shipped. I have to make a special trip to the Post Office to do it (which I don't mind, but it's not free), and they need insured. Basically you can go to USPS.com and get a general idea of rates and you'd have about $10-15 more added for trip to the PO and insurance costs.

I ordered 100 sets of springs. I'm down to about 40. A new batch is at least 12 weeks away, so if you're sure you want some, I'd recommend getting them sooner rather than later.....

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry, I forgot I haven't purchased anything from you since I left the UK.... so ofcourse you wouldn't have my address.

I have sent you a PM here... as I would like to get the springs before you run out!

Can you keep us posted on the T2R's... either here or at Frrax.

Thanks,
UKCamaroSS

sam, what spring would you recommend that performs as well as your lowering springs to go with the revalved bilsteins, but dont drop as much? i want a setup that will work with daily driving in mind but a few times a year at the strip. i would get your lowering springs but i have longtubes and i am afraid of bottoming out all the time. I am also planning on putting some 315/35/17s in back, are the 315's worth it as far as extra traction is concerned??

My springs aren't really all that low, and are very consistent in terms or drop. Only other options which don't handle quite as well IMHO are SLP or Hotchkis. We sell both of those as well. But considering my springs put you only on average about 1/4 inch lower that Hotchkis, that's really splitting hairs to some degree.

so do you think your springs w/ revalved biltsteins will work well with a 315/35/17 tire out back?

I race on 315's.....

Though frankly the tire has nothing to do with it. If you are worried about rubbing, that's tire size and fitment, not the springs. ALL rear springs for these car eventually put you in a place where you'll contact the bumpstops (full compression). And that is where it'll rub worst. Because of this the springs don't really matter in that regard.

What would a set of your springs/shocks run? The car will be on either 17or18's and used for spirited street driving and several track days. Ride comfort isnt that big of a deal. Don't wanna go to low either.

The springs are $269 delivered. Shocks, the cost of those depends on what shocks you choose to use. Revalved Bilstein's or Koni's are basically all I prefer to use with *any* lowering spring to be honest and the prices range from $530-828 for a set of 4 (with one version of Koni's in the middle).
