Default Ported Throttle Body Sale!!!

New Era Performance is offering a $10 off sale on porting service. The sale price is $65 plus shipping. You've read all about, now its time to do it! Its pretty easy, you send us your throttle body, we port it, and get it back out to you the next day! Check out the add in the March 2007 Issue of Popular Hot Rodding that offers some details about the porting. We can also do the bump stop mod for you as well, just make a note of it when you order. Most gains are between 5-12rwhp. You will definetly feel the gain in throttle response! You can call during normal business hours Monday thru Friday 10-5 EST or you can order online at www.neweraperformanceparts.com Make sure that you mention that you are an ls1tech member!

I have a question about the HP gain's. What does it depend on for it to egt 5-12 HP. ? Cam or other suporting mod's ? Or do some car just get better power out of it then others ? How much is shipping? and do i send mine to you or do you send a new one to me ?
Thank you !
I will be ordering mine in about a week if the sale is still going on.

"Check out the add in the March 2007 Issue of Popular Hot Rodding that offers some details about the porting."

do you or anyone else have a link to the article? I can't seem to find much info about it on your website.

I was looking at the a non sponsors throttle body and noticed they filled the cut out area to flow better. do you offer the same option?

The sale will be going until Friday Feb. 23. Orders must be placed by then, you can send us your throttle body whenever you want, just make sure the name and invoice come with it.

Minesfaster-Hp gains depend on what you have. If you have a good cam and head package and are running on a stock tb, you will see power gains near 12+. Shipping is $5 flat rate to the continental us, no APO or PO boxes.

Freak- we do not poxy the inside like others. We have test it before and have gotten no gains with the holes filled in. Sometimes it can change how the car idles, so we dont do it. Basically the lips and bumps in your throttle body will be smoothed out and you will pick up approx. 3mm to the stock size. Then it is all finish polished for the nice shine.

I didn't find it on their website either then went to the store and looked at it. It's in the Parts Bin or whatever PHR calls it. There's no flow info or checking the power gains, just describes it's a good part and will give you "5-8hp" Still cool it was mentioned though! I'm ordering mine as soon as I get paid

I checked out PHR also. The write-up didn't mention whether you knife-edge the
blade. Is that included in the price, or do you not do it? It seems there are those
who feel that it does not provide any additional power gain, and not worth the effort.
Is that your school of thought? Just wanted to find out all the facts before I make a
decision to go ahead with this.

No knife-edging , it does nothing noticeable as I have tested it .

What about grinding down/milling the throttle shaft, have you tested that at all? I ask because it doesn't look like you offer that from what I can see of the pic posted above. Thanks,

Larry

I don't do this as a standard because it changes the structure and strength of the shaft and can cause slightly different positioning which can cause the idle to change and the blade to rub(even though it will increase flow a very small amount) , if you want this done I can do it for an extra $30 if you want to call up and add this , but if your blade sticks a little bit or the idle changes you are on your own .

The bump stop mod is no extra , just put a note inside the box to do it and it will be done .
