Default Pace Setter Long Tube Headers Are On Their Way!

Texas Speed & Performance is proud to start carrying the full line of Pace Setter Performance Products, including their newly-released LS1 F-Body long tube headers! They will be offered in an uncoated and coated version. The best part is the incredible pricing!

1998-2002 Uncoated Long Tube Headers: $239.99
1998-2002 Coated Long Tube Headers: $330.99
3" Off-road Y-pipe for Headers: $120.99

The headers will not come with O2 extensions or O2 simulators; those will be extra. We have placed a large order with Pace Setter, and the headers are currently being coated. We will take pre-orders for anyone that is wanting to claim a set. The pricing above is NOT group purchase pricing! You'll get the pricing listed above no matter how few or many sets are sold.

Let us know if you have any questions. We'll be closed on July 4th but will be back in the office on Monday, July 7th to answer any e-mails and phone messages. Everyone have a safe weekend!

Trevor,

What brand is the coating?

Any dyno numbers on these?

How do they compare to other LT brands in fitment, quality and performance?

Thanks

John

there was a guy who had them on the external forum. Said they were a pita to install, and that he had never done it before. They look to be a grot design, i think. The guy complained how the 02 bungs were welded on backwards, overall i think, either go cheap (pacesetter) or go expensive (qtp).

This is what we need to bring other headers prices down. We pay way too much money for long tubes. I'm sick of the mark up for the LS1 especially the cams. These headers cant be any worst than the $800 SLP's.

These are not bad to install at all, in fact I can't imagine a LT install being too much easier. Did mine by myself on jackstands (tires 12.25" in the air). I did port the 02 bung holes (the hole in the collector) and cleared the ceramic out of the threads with a tap before I started. I got a coated set and they are just beautiful, for the money, heck it's the best deal going for LS1 stuff....

John - I will check with Pace Setter on what brand the coating is. They're making right at the same amount of power as other long tube headers on the market for the LS1. You certainly can't go wrong for the price!

Tony - Are you sure you don't need a set?

redz 02 - The problems with the O2 bungs have been addressed and taken care of. You won't have any problems with that.

Krazy98TA - We're definitely seeing the prices of LS1 parts come down with more and more entrants to the LS1 market. This is fantastic pricing!

Dave - I couldn't agree more!

Todd - Give me a call at the shop sometime. I have not been able to answer your old e-mail regarding the 396 from a while ago due to networking problems at the new shop. We're working hard to get them solved, so hopefully it will be fixed shortly.

Thanks!

Trevor

OK Trevor. You should see about what mobius asked. I'd be in for a set of "off road" headers (i.e. no emissions crap).

about time , only problem is when its alot cheaper it makes us feel like they aren't as good as the expensive brands, just like patriot heads which are supposedly performing pretty damn well for half the price.

I'm really torn with whether I should get these. I just dropped SLPs and it's between these, the new edelbrocks or hookers. I'm really leaning to these.

We should be getting them in pretty quick We're really excited to be offering these headers, the price is so great I'm going to buy & install a set on my moms car! You can't beat the bang for the buck these headers offer.

We offer both SLP, edelbrock & hooker headers also, feel free to e-mail me about them

Jason or Trevor, will these bolt up to a magnaflow catback if I were to use their y-pipe?

Thanks

I just got off of the phone with PaceSetter, and they have the race-style headers without the AIR or EGR in development right now. They're saying about a month, and pricing should be the same or very close to what we have listed.

Dusty - It depends on how the Magnaflow cat-back is currently connected. If it clamps on, you won't have any problems. If it is currently welded on, then you'll have to cut it off of your current setup and weld it onto the PaceSetter y.

Thanks!
