Questions The hoods are lighter than the stock steel hoods. They weigh approx 35 lbs.
The hoods fit very well. They are made of fiberglass and will require minor finishin before priming and painting (like any fiberglass hoods).
You can use the all the stock mounting hardware on these hoods and they have a steel latch late to help prevent cracking in that area. This is a unique feature to this hood manufacturer which is really nice.
We have no idea if a fiberglass hood is as strong as a factory SS hood but if we had to guess, we would say no since all factory hoods have to pass certain crash standards that aftermarket hoods do not.
