Cam Kit Sale, Featuring New Must See LS1 Products!
We’ve got two exciting announcements for you guys and gals.
First, our new website is partially up and as a promotion we’re going to having a cam kit sale for both LS1’s and LT1’s. For information on the cams we carry just go to www.cmotorsports.com, then choose your engine (LT1/LT4/LS1/LS6) under the “Engine Store” tab. Once in the engine store, click on Camshaft Design and try not to go into cam overload. There are quite a few cams listed and cams can be quite confusing, so if you have any questions about which cam will work out best for you, please feel free to give us a call.
Second, we now have a valve spring kit with titanium retainers for LS1’s and LS6’s that offers substantial savings and improved performance over other valve springs and retainers currently offered. The springs that come in the kit are part #EX-616 which we’ve been running in some of our own cars for quite a while to make sure they are up our standards. In our Z06, we’re currently shifting at 7200rpm with this valve spring kit and a .591” lift cam and in our 2001 SS we’re running a .615” lift cam shifting at 7100rpm. The springs fit on the stock heads/seats without machining, just install and go!
The EX-616 springs setup at 135lbs at 1.800” installed height, open up to 360lbs at 1.200”, and don’t coil bind until 1.110”. We recommend a cam under .620” lift as that is what we’ve tested to, but the springs can handle a little more. The retainers, part #EX-122, are aircraft quality titanium and offer the ultimate in high-end valve train performance. For a few pictures of the EX-616 springs and EX-122 retainers, check out www.cmotorsports.com/615springpics.html
There is also a new set of springs that set up slightly lighter than the 616's, part #EX-615. They setup at 115lbs @ 1.800", and open up to 320Lbs @ .600" lift, with coil bind at 1.110". These springs are the springs to have for less agressive cams like the low lift Comp Cams offerings.
Here’s what is included in the cam kits:
LS1 Cam Kit Includes:
Comp Cams Custom Ground Camshaft
EX-616 Valve Springs
EX-122 Titanium Retainers
Hardened Valve Locks
Comp Cams One Piece Chromoly Pushrods
Limited Time Introductory Price-$597.97!!
That’s almost $100 off our normal low prices!
LT1 Cam Kit Includes:
Comp Cams Custom Ground Camshaft
Comp Cams Pro Magnum Roller Rockers (Self Aligning or Non-Self Aligning)
Guideplates (if you choose non-self aligning rockers)
CM-612 Valve springs (fit stock head without machining) good to .600” lift
Ultra Lightweight Chromoly Valve Spring Retainers
Hardened valve locks
***Free Hardened Pushrods Included*** (limited time)
Price-$589.97
To place your order, just give one of our friendly sales people a call, we’re here to help. This sale will be running through next Friday 9/19. Thank you for your time.

These guys are awesome, I've dealt with them many times before. Combo did my cam in my last motor, which put down 390rwhp on stock heads. Awesome deal.

im the owner of the '01 ss. these new springs are awsome. as stated, shifting at 7100 rpm, these springs show no sign of giving up. i shift at about 6700 on the spray and still no signs what so ever. even with my 236/238 .600+ lift cam, the vavletrain isnt overly noisy. if youre looking for piece of mind in springs....these are it

You guys were awesome to deal with on the transmission, so I'm going to get a cam from you too. I looked at the cams on your website, but there are SOOOO many. Is there any way that I can find out which one you guys think would work best in my setup? Should I email you the specs? Call? Which would work best?

Re: Cam Kit Sale, Featuring New Must See LS1 Products!
They fit perfectly. Just like Seth said they would. I definately didn't want to machine my heads for a spring rated for 600+ lift and I wanted to stay away from the rev duals so these fit the bill perfectly. And who doesn't like that price on them. Spending 300 bucks or more on springs and retainers is bullSh!t. I am glad cmotorsports came to the table with some decently price LS1 parts. I hope other vendors can do the same.
I posted up on the internal board but got no replies. I figured that some people on there would jump at the specs and price of these springs and retainers.

No flame intended whatsoever but you guys are either really really exceptionally happy with this company or you are getting paid to post this. Its like a damn commercial in this thread where the company says, "heres just a few of our satisfied customers."
Anyway, I'm very interested in this package. $200 is a great price for any springs with retainers and locks, even if they are shitty. Are they singles or duals?
frcefed98: why did you say that you wanted to stay away from the revs? I was going to purchase some on Monday from Thunder. They are $351 for the springs, retainers and seats. I have heard nothing but great things about them, especially over the CC918's that alot of people seem to go with. What are your reasons for this? Thanks, Mike.
Also: exactly how many miles have been tested individually on these cars? Are these springs good for 25k? I don't want to have to switch them out every year. I will be getting around a 230 .580 112 cam and shifting at 6600. Thanks again.

2)Those springs will handle that cam all day.
Four of my firends locally are running those springs already with about 4 track visits already and 2-5 weeks of daily driving having already been put on them.
They have cams ranging from 228/228 .588 112lsa to 236/238 .602/.605 111lsa.
Flawless so far.
