Launch control in production cars doesn't factor in the surface traction and how the tires will react. So if there is any variation, it won't be beneficial.

Now if they R&D like F1 does, that would make things very easy. Too easy.

Well the M3 supposedly DOES have some launch control. But its like a 3 way setting.. which I guess requires some trial and error.

Good kill, put them in their place every chance you get. my dislike for the bmw comes mainly from their owners.

Nice kill, OP. Those 335i's look really good to me. And they must have some great gearing or something working for them if they're hitting mid 13s at 104 with only 265 to the wheels and weighing close to 3,600 pounds. Then again, I've heard turbo dyno numbers aren't always accurate and tend to be on the small side compared with how they perform on the street because of the load involved with being on a dyno versus on the street. Not sure if this applies to a stock twin-turbo car or not but it would help explain why they move out so well for the power/weight ratio.

How would a 02 M/// (M6) compare to the al-mighty LS1 (A4)?

Stock M6 would decimate a stock (or close to stock) LS1. And it only gets worse the faster you go.

Actually yeah, I'm pretty sure he did mean that. Cuz there was no '02 M6 . In that case, it would be a VERY close race given the M3 driver knows what he's doing.
