Default 2002 Z28 vs. 2007 335i BMW

Just got my M6 Z28 couple weeks ago, traded in my 07 Mustang for it..haha..anyways, pulled up to the light, had my windows down, and this black 335 i, the twin turbo coupe, pulls up, girlfriend in the car, and he starts revving the engine like an idiot. You can hear the turbo's kinda spooling off, so I figured, let's give it a go. Granted, I'm on the stock 245's, and they're terrifying..anyways, he starts creepin forward anticipating the green. Light changes, he jumps it, i launch hard but beautifully, make the pass almost screaming my lungs out, and destroyed him. Hit 110(on a 45), and then decided to slow down for the sake of my life, and we I pull up to another red light. I'm waiting for what seems to be 15 or 20 seconds, finally the BMW starts to come up to the light, and instead of pulling up next to me, switches lanes real quick and pulls up behind me. Can't imagine how pissed that ******* was when he saw the grin on my face in my rear view.

Good kill - he better throw some boost on it next time before messing with an LS1.

Good kill, what mods do you have? They are real quick cars.

Nice kill! Tuned those 335s are pretty good.

I haven't had a race against one yet, and I was thinking while looking at dragtimes, it's unlikely I'll get beat since most of those are on race gas, prepped, etc.

But then I met a guy at the car wash that ONLY runs race gas.... I could be in trouble!

Jeez, those numbers are scary. The 335i with intake/exhaust made 378/385 on 93. The thought of being walked by a 99% stock BMW 3 series really scares me.

i destroy bmw's religiously. they always want to race me and i'm always up for it.
only time i got overtaken by one was on skyline blvd (highway 35 - silicon valley, ca - 2 lane road) 2007 m5 passed me in the opposite lane around a blind corner like i was riding a bicycle. must have taken the corner at 100mph+ that i was taking at 65. he was clearly "in the zone" and lost patience after riding my bumper on one turn. this was on the stock ss suspension with **** tires, but i doubt it would have looked much better with what i have now.

the tune is what really makes the difference. I have raced a stock one and one with exhaust and pulled them both, not by a lot but a good pull.

How fast are these cars stock? I find it hard to believe a stock LS1 would beat one that bad, especially on crappy 245 series tires. However I'm not sure how fast the turbo BMW is but how slow can a turbo BMW be..

They run high 13s... think a really well driven 5spd 99-04 Mustang GT (the BMW traps a little higher).

That guy in the 99+ GT (5speed w/ext) was still wonderin WTF when I put a cl on him before I was at the other side of the intersection the other night (and never got over 40).

We wont even talk about the c6s (one a z06) I passed at the recent road course event
