Was coming home from the girlfriends house earlier tonight, and spotted a white stang coming up on me. It was another one of those loud mustangs, newer GT, that i see all the time(probaly Flowmaster).(It's weird, I see more loud-*** stangs then F-bodies here in D-town) But, I wanted to see what he had and how my stock, even still with paper filter after a year, would fare. So, I passed up my turn to get hard with him and he quickly responded with some revs. We raced at the next red light and i beat him by about 2 car lengths,then at a 30mph roll and i beat him by about 3-4 car lengths. Although his car was pretty much stock exept for probaly exhuast and some other little stuff, it was still nice beat a stang with some mods Thats all i really need is a race like that every once and a while. Its when i race some souped up SS or WS6 that i get the urge to mod mine some, but i have heard that once the mod bug bites, IT BITES HARD

MJP, good kill! I've been trying to find a stang like that ever since I've had my car but whenever I get next to one they never want to go. Where around Detroit do you live? I'm in Monroe so we're not too far off.

Thanx man. I live in Sterling Heights. Were probaly about 45 minutes away. Whenever I go through Monroe, going South on I75, I average like 90mph. I hope there is not a lot of cops your way.

I picked up an 88/70mph ticket on I-75 in Monroe about 2 months ago.

There's a kid (16 or 17yo) with a new red GT that always revs at me when my car is PARKED in my driveway. I'll have to show him what a nitrous assisted '03 Cobra can do someday.

Yep ... I keep a running tab of every dollar I spend on my car. Besides the petty stuff like oil changes, nitrous, and gas. All the stereo stuff, engine mods, bolt-on's, appearance mods, etc etc ... I write em all down. You don't even want to know how much I have spent. Not to mention I do 99% of the work on my car myself, which has saved me thousands in labor.

The cool part about spending your money on your car, is that you get to reap the benefits of it constantly. EVERYTIME you step on the gas, and you get that huge smile on your face ... you know where your money is.

there are a few speed shops around in that lil industrial park, and a lot of ppl go there 2 test out their new setups
