Not bad. I had a GTO before. GTO's run good, especially with intake/full exhaust/tune...
On the other hand, S197 do run good with the JLT intake, tune, and exhaust. Not doubting he wouldnt have gotten a stock GTO, BUT a modded GTO, look out, driver race.

Link to the proof? I'm not denying it, I'm just curious. That's a damn strong running GT with just a CAI and exhaust mods. 317 rwhp is pretty good, but new GTs are heavy. So 111mph seems just a little to high for me to accept without being a little skeptical.
Thanks,
Chris

well i will say this this aboutthe 3v's more than an other car ive had. heat soak.....i know every car runs better when its cold out but this car runs 3-5 tenths faster in good weather than hot weather. i ran those times back in march, i then went in july and ran 13.4's @ 106 all day. i have 4.10's going in and drag radials very soon so i should be mid to high 12's this spring

Or the drivers you're seeing aren't all that great... a Mustang (S197 or New Edge) with almost 320rwhp should be running right around what the OP is running. There are stock '05+ GTs that run 13.4.

If there is one stock 05 gt that runs a 13.4 there is 100 that run a 13.7 to 14.1, i promise you that...A 13.4 stock 05 is a 100 to 1 car . I have seen plenty of them run and i doubt all the drivers sucked.13.6 is a good run from the shitload of them i see run at the track.

Yeah, I threw some 275/40/17 MT's on the SS wheels and ran a bunch of 12.2-12.3's about a month later. Killed a Shelby GT trapping a couple MPH higher than me on Nitto DR's. I'm looking forward to dumping this 2,800 Vig in favor of a 4,000 Yank and picking up some dedicated track only wheels.
