What's wrong with this picture?
So I am at a Grudge Night at a local drag strip and its Ford vs. Chevy night. My club is running the local ford club and I am slated to run a 95 Cobra with a blower, 411 gears and ET. Streets. He's caliming 450 RWHP and I am thinking the show is over. I was stock with only a Magnafloew catback and a cheap lid. To make matters worse I am running stock tires. We line up and I cut a .521 light in an M6 to his .66. Talk about a close race. I ran 13.05 at 111 and he ran a 13.0 at 107. Turns out I would of lost by a hair but my reactions made the difference. He is unhappy so we line up again and this time I run a 13.01 at 111 to his sons 13.4 at 103. It was sweet smoking a SC cobra on slicks. I know some was not right with his car. I think he said he was having tuning issues but it was still sweet.

Sure! I love to spank Fords. By the way, I don't run 13.0 anymore. I've done a few thing and added 90 hp. I run low 12's on street tires and a stock rearend. I just ordered a 12 bolt w/ 4.11 and some ET Streets so 11's are in the forcast for smog legal cam only car. If you think you can run 11's give me a call.

I would agree he has tuning issues ... I raced a S/C'd 4.6L about a month ago, and he kept up pretty well, definately was probably running in the low - mid 12's.
I'm pretty sure he could beat you with 2 spark plugs missing.
$100 bucks on unit.

I have to re-install my exhaust and my nitrous system. Without it, I'm making 434/457 to the wheels which will be good for high 11's near 120mph. The exhaust and nitrous along with tires will put me in the high 10's.
Give me a call if you think you can run 10's.

I outrun a 99 Z28 with a 125 shot at the local 1/8 mile track about a year ago. We both ran slicks and I cut a slightly better rt. I ran a 7.83 to his 7.86. Felt real good for me because I only make 274rwhp on the dyno and was running all motor to a car that should have been close to 400rwhp while spraying.

does anybody NOT know the power of the '03 cobra by this point? i guess people could mistake it for the infamous down-on-power '99 cobra at first glance... i certainly wouldn't, but then i've spent the last 10 years being a mustang guy (way before i even owned one).
basically bowtie, the '03 cobra is a supercharged '01 cobra with new heads and cam to better take advantage of forced induction. it's also got low compression pistons. ford svt had the hardest damn time making it meet federal drive-by noise restrictions, and the only way they could do that was to choke off the intake and exhaust to the point of makeing them major restrictions. even so, the car is heavily UNDERrated (as compared to the overrated '99 and '01 cobras) at 390hp + 390ft/lbs. most stock cobras dyno 350-370 rwhp i believe.
unclogging that restrictive exhaust and intake will really let the engine strut it's stuff, and because it has low compression pistons and an intercooler (i believe), it is not even touching it's boost potential with the stock pullies.
really the car turns into a monster with such simple upgrades as new upper pully, intake, exhaust, and a chip.

hey unit, cobras are fast but post your "10 or 11" sec time slips. And no matter how fast your ford is there will always be a chevy faster. and not to mention your comparing a SUPERCHARGED car to a NA LS1.

All-
The only mods I have installed RIGHT NOW are a 2.90 pulley, a chip, and a drop in K&N air filter. I had to take off the nitrous & exhaust when it went to the dealer.
I'll post time slips soon. Why does everyone try to call on me? I've proven myself here time and time again with my old LS1 and now I'm trying to do the same with the Cobra. Some people are just haters I guess.

My point is that the cobra needs a supercharger to match the numbers(times) of a stock ls1, and I dont hate fords just you. ps I hear a mustang forum calling your name. later
