Here's a setup for you...23psi on a 2.2L KB, 110 race gas, 22* of timing,
stock fuel pumps, 55lb injectors, stock feed line, BAP, etc.

Now you see why I can't make anymore power until I upgrade the fuel system!

Well all I know Is MY car is super duper fast!!! It's pretty easy for me to beat a pullied cobra and one with some juice shouldn't be a problem for me as long as I "feather the throttle"! It's only cuz I drive a Hawk, and we all know they fly!!! I think I might cut out the back seats, rip off the quarters and doors (just a luxury I don't need anyways) and put a Foreman grill where the jack used to be (just for those late night drag races when I'm hungry). I may as well remove the front wheels/tires as well, since I don't plan on them ever hitting the ground over the full quarter!!!!! BAM!!!! It's fast, spit out the cigarette butt you just swallowed out of someones empty beer bottle FAST!

Just in case anyone wonders what "super duper fast" is. It's fast enough that if you try to lean forward and grab the $100 bill off my dash, you'll throw the weight transfer of the car off and send me into a speed wobble. That's why I "take no passengers"!

I know what you mean Unit! I wanted to make sure I didn't run out of fuel, so when the shop did my build, they installed twin Ford GT pumps, full -8AN braided line to the rails with 60# injectors. This things pumping so much gas, it uses a half a tank to back out of the driveway. LOL!

I would LOVE to be able to hang with even a STOCK 03/04 Termi! Those things are so badass. I think I would have a ways to go-maybe a stall and a nice set of headers...maybe then I could put up a fight from a dig. But these pullied ones, wow!

Get gears a stall and a 150 shot and you will give them a run for the money.

Aren't the lines and pumps a tad over kill in regards to the inj. size? Was it just in case so if you wanted to up the inj. real quick, no problem?

Maybe I'm just having a brain FART. LOL

BTW - what ever happened to the final? IDR seeing you post up the numbers.

IDT he needs a bottle shot to hang with a stocker. He probably just needs a healthy stall.

From what I was told, the injectors are a good match for the other components. Hell, I thought 60lb. injectors were slight overkill. But most people run the KB Mach 1 kit on a stock motor, so it's never pushing more than 8-10lbs. of boost. I wanted to bump that up to around 16+lbs. so the shop guys, who do alot of KB and Whipple installations, said that since they were working with a clean slate, they wanted to make sure nothing was going to get pegged and cause a redo down the road. So far they haven't been wrong. I haven't been in for the final tuning, hopefully by the end of February, I'll have those numbers published.

Street racing rarely sees a sub 2.0 60 ft anyway

What is big power if you cant get it to the ground? Its fun to burn off the tires and to show off but that gets old. I had a 450hp 2nd gen that the first three gears were useless, kinda like the Cobra in your vid...

Well, there's only one option left before an aftermarket blower or a turbo (both of which will put you well out of reach of my car), and that's a port. If you port it, it might be worth getting together still, but if it's something bigger, I'm not gonna waste my gas - I'll have to grab a friend with a faster car and take a ride up with them .

Keep me posted when you do hit the track.

I'll have a similar setup. I already have the mods.
  • twin Ford GT pumps
  • Fore fuel hat
  • 80lb injectors
  • -8AN line to the rails
  • dual FPDMs
  • etc

The tune is safe, but I'm pushing it to the brink for sure. Did I mention
the stock exhaust manifolds still?
