GC SRT8 Vs. SHELBY GT
i know its not a chebbie but i havnt had a run lately so thought i would mention it neway!
i was sittin talkin to a friend at walmart last nite when someone came through with a shelby gt and reved as they passed. i returned the rev and they pulled over and asked if i would like to run. i said sure, and asked the stipulations. suprisingly they wanted a dig. he said my car launches hard! lol! i asked what mods it had and it was intake, exhaust only. Long story short we did 3 dig runs 1/4 mile and i always won by about 4-6 car lengths. after the race he was cool and just gave me props, he had no clue what srt8 meant lol!

My bone stock GC SRT8 went 13.1 at 102-103 mph on 4 or 5 back to back passes with about 200 lbs. of junk in the back. They will easily smack up a Shelby GT, especially on the street.

Thanks.
The progression went like this:
385/382 with bolt-ons, then a different dyno:
388/402 canned 91oct tune
398/422 dyno tuned (CMR and Diablosport)
413/432 96oct/race gas tune.

It won't be any more dramatic than the A5, I predict. They run about equal times now from what I've briefly seen and actually a tune may give the A5 an edge (reduction in torque management, firmer shifts). The gearing is different as well.
