I can't believe theres ricers in here trying to stick up for the Supra.
Everyone knows who they are, no need to mention any names, its obvious.
Bottom line is the C6Z is faster. Why?? The LS7 has much better top end power than the Supra, it has a much fatter powerband, and the car also weighs less.
You can see the Supra in the video lurch each time the turbos spool, thats GARBAGE. What good is an engine that can only make peak power for a couple seconds because of huge turbo lag?? Nothing, its useless.
I can't understand why idiot ricers worship Supras. They can't do anything that any other motor can't do, they just do it less efficiently, sound horrible, have miserable powerbands, and often blow up. Really impressive.

The motor isn't garbage... it's just not intended for some forms of racing.
I agree that there is no replacement for displacement and with boost, you can run lower levels of PSI and still make power. There is a reason those funny cars and rails run BBC's and not 2jz's (comparative speaking of course)

The supra is the 2003 cobra of the import world. A car that deserves respect for the power it can make but very little less..
I can not stand when a bunch of 19 year old kids think a 35K Supra is so amazing and might as well be a ferrari and then boost up the 27 year old supra owners head...
Of course they think it's amazing..35K is a HUGE amount of money for an import sports car when they are all modding 3-7K civics and so fourth...Ive driven by their car gatherings with all their lil cheap imports and it is laughable..So yea in that respect the supra gets a reputation...
But come on.... a origional price 35K supra next to a 70K Z06 or 80K Viper or 90K nsx???????Not even close to the same league..But to the 19 year old fanboys driving 5K civics it is...Hell it's better...
To me my nsx is slow as hell and pretty decent but nonthing special. Ive rolled up on import crowds and had a bunch of 19 year olds all over the car like it was a Lambo takin pictures and stuff....
The supra is and always will b a 35K car that couldnt sell and was discontinued in my eyes...Ive read stories of really fast ones on the internet but have raced quite a few and never been truly impressed..If someone tells me a car has 550 rwhp and I have 480 rwhp it should murder me..Not the opposite...If someone says their supra has 600-700-800-900-1000 rwhp it shouldnt run 12's..period
For every 10 built completely wrong..theirs that one mythical one you read about that can run 9's or what ever...That you never see...Or he only runs in the non street car events ect.
Im ranting now but I just dont see the appeal what so ever...The car is HUGE and HEAVY and the inside looks like a sedan vs a sports car..Is it even a sports car???? Cas the size weight and interior look much more grand tourer like...

Almost NO ONE trapps as low as 125-126 mph in their 2008 Vipers..125-126 mph is DAMN FAST for a C6Z06...
Make a list of all the 100% bone stock trap speeds you can find for your Z06's..Ill make one for the 2008 Vipers...
I guarantee you that even though their are only 2,500 2008 Vipers in the world and that theve only ben out for a year and even though viper owners generally dont go to the strip as much as vette guys that the Viper trapp speeds will over all be higher by 2-3 mph..

C6Z06's are awesom for the money. A guy was gonna sell me a modded 2006 C6Z06 for 42K 6 months ago..Probally get it for 39K now..But they will not hang with a 2008 Viper..
the 2008 Viper even beat the ZR1in head to head test and was also faster to 150 mph than the ZR1 with a 16.4 second blast for the Viper and 17.1 second blast for the ZR1..Best the C6Z06 has ever done is a 17.5..
Hell isnt Jamie enough proof as well????
In negative 2000 DA after god knows how many runs with his C6Z06 he turns a 10.9
In a negative 900 DA on his first time driving the car with only 100 miles on the odo he turns a 10.9 in the Viper
Look at the circumstances and them imagine when the viper is broken in and on a negative 2000 day and more seat time like he had in theZ06...
I guarantee you someone bust 10.7 at 132 mph
